I mean, you’re literally steps away from everything that matters in the Georgian capital, but tucked away enough that you’re not dealing with constant street noise.

Here’s what I love about staying on Taras Shevchenko Street — you’re basically in Tbilisi’s cultural heart without the tourist trap feeling. The famous writer’s monument is right there (hence the street name), and you can walk to the National Gallery in about five minutes. What really impressed me though was how easy it is to grab a morning coffee at one of the local spots that actually serve residents, not just visitors. The Mtatsminda district has this perfect mix of old Tbilisi charm and modern conveniences, and NEW-Downtown Apartment lll sits right in that sweet spot.

The Space Itself

The apartment setup works really well — it’s got that residential feel but with all the services you’d expect from a proper hotel. The rooms are thoughtfully designed with enough space to actually unpack your suitcase (you know how rare that is these days). What struck me most was the attention to local touches — they’ve managed to incorporate Georgian design elements without going overboard with the theme hotel approach. The bathrooms are modern and well-equipped, and honestly, the Wi-Fi actually works consistently, which isn’t always a given in this part of the world.

Getting Around and Exploring

You’ll appreciate how walkable everything is from here. The old town is an easy stroll downhill, though coming back up can be a bit of a workout — but that’s Tbilisi for you. The cable car to Mtatsminda Park is practically around the corner, which gives you those incredible city views everyone talks about. For longer trips, taxis are easy to catch from this street, and the drivers actually know where they’re going when you mention the address. I found myself using the apartment as a perfect base for day trips too — you can be at the sulfur baths in ten minutes or exploring Rustaveli Avenue in even less time.

That perfect 10 rating makes sense once you’ve stayed here. Couples particularly seem to connect with the place — there’s something about the combination of privacy and prime location that works for romantic getaways. The staff understands hospitality in that genuine Georgian way, where they’re helpful without being intrusive.   Many thanks to the owner who did all that they could to help us enjoy our stay in Tbilisi. The apartment has all you will need with fully equipped kitchen, all the facilities and amenities, softest beds and especially amazing location. It was in the very center of the city and at the same time in a very cozy and cute neighborhood. We could hear Birds chirping in the very center of Tbilisi 😀. eating places was within walking distance. We took GIorgi’s helpful advice and enjoyed local food.

  The apartment is close to the center with a new, thoughtful renovation. Fully equipped. With an incredibly comfortable mattress in the bedroom. With a separate workspace. With great wi-fi.
  Despite being very central, the street is very quiet. You can reach Tbilisi botanical garden 15 minutes by foot.
  The host is responsive and polite. In touch at this place all the time.
  We would love to stay here again.

  Отличная квартира с хорошим местоположением. Есть всё что нужно, чисто, уютно. отдельно хочется отметить большим плюсом то, что в квартире много посуды,
  У нас было очень позднее время заезда, но это не стало проблемой. Хозяйин помог по добиранию из аэропорта, сориентировала по местности. Всегда отзивчивая и готова помочь, Спасибо за гостеприимство! обязательна рекомендую !!!
