Walking up to New Central Suite on Pavle Ingorokva Street, you immediately get that “this is going to be good” feeling. The building sits perfectly in Mtatsminda — honestly, one of Tbilisi’s most charming neighborhoods — and there’s something about the way it blends into the area that just works. I mean, you’re not staying in some generic tower here; this four-star property actually feels like it belongs in the city. The entrance has this understated elegance that doesn’t scream “tourist hotel,” which I really appreciated.

Location & Getting Around

Here’s what I love about this spot — you’re right in the heart of things without being overwhelmed by crowds. Mtatsminda is where locals actually want to live, and you’ll understand why once you start exploring the tree-lined streets around the hotel. The cable car to Mtatsminda Park is practically on your doorstep (well, close enough that you won’t break a sweat getting there), and getting down to Old Town takes maybe 10 minutes by foot. You know what’s great? You can walk to most of Tbilisi’s main attractions, but when you come back in the evening, you’re in this quieter, more residential vibe that feels authentically Georgian.

The Suites

The rooms — sorry, suites — are where New Central Suite really shows its worth. These aren’t your standard hotel boxes; they’re actually spacious enough that you don’t feel like you’re living out of a suitcase. The kitchenette setup is surprisingly well-equipped (I managed to make proper coffee, which matters more than it should), and the separate living area means you can spread out a bit. The design leans modern but not cold — there’s enough character that it doesn’t feel sterile, plus the windows are generous so you get plenty of natural light during the day.

The Neighborhood Experience

What really sold me on this place was stepping outside and feeling like I was staying in a real neighborhood rather than a tourist bubble. There’s a small grocery store around the corner where the owner actually remembers your face after a couple of visits, and the local cafes serve coffee the way Georgians like it — strong and without any fuss. In the evenings, you’ll see families walking their dogs and couples heading out for dinner, which gives you this nice sense of being part of the city’s rhythm rather than just observing it from the outside.

That 9.4 rating isn’t just numbers — it reflects what happens when a hotel gets the basics right and then adds thoughtful touches that matter. Couples especially seem drawn to this place, and I get it; there’s something romantic about having your own little Georgian apartment in one of the city’s most appealing districts. The staff genuinely cares about making your stay work (they helped me figure out the best route to the sulfur baths without making me feel clueless), and the whole experience feels more personal than what you’d get at a larger property. It’s the kind of place where you start planning your return visit before you’ve even checked out.

Getting in was simple, rooms were spotlessly clean as in the pictures, we did arrive very early in Tbilisi, but thanks to our Host we were able to leave our luggage at our accommodation. The kitchen was stocked with crockery and the washing machine worked well. 10/10
