They pointed me toward this incredible khachapuri place that I never would have found on my own, tucked away on a side street that doesn’t even show up properly on Google Maps. The rooms themselves are compact but smartly designed (think clever storage solutions and a shower that’s somehow both tiny and perfectly functional), and honestly, the 4-star rating feels about right – comfortable without being stuffy, modern without feeling soulless.

Here’s the thing that really sealed it for me: the sound situation is surprisingly good for a city center location. Tbilisi can get pretty lively at night, especially on weekends when the wine bars fill up, but the windows actually block most of the street noise. I’m someone who’s picky about sleep, and I managed just fine. The 8.8 rating makes sense when you factor in details like that – it’s the kind of place where small things work the way they’re supposed to. Parking can be a bit of a puzzle if you’re driving (though honestly, you probably shouldn’t be in this part of town anyway), but the check-in process was refreshingly straightforward. No endless forms or upselling, just keys and directions to the elevator. The whole experience feels authentic to what Tbilisi is becoming – this blend of old-world hospitality and contemporary energy that you can’t really fake.
