The Narikala Fortress is right there too — I actually enjoyed the evening walk up more than taking the cable car, but that’s just me.

The Studio Experience

The studio setup works really well, especially if you’re the type who likes having your own space rather than feeling like you’re staying in someone’s corporate hotel chain. It’s got that boutique feel without being pretentious about it. The room I stayed in had everything you’d need for a few days in the city — decent kitchenette, comfortable bed, and windows that actually open (which is surprisingly refreshing after staying in too many sealed hotel rooms). The design feels authentically Georgian but updated, if that makes sense.

Getting Around and Daily Life

Here’s what I really appreciated — you can walk to most of the places you’ll want to see in Old Tbilisi. The Bridge of Peace is maybe a 10-minute walk, and you’re close to both the modern shopping areas and the traditional markets. There’s something nice about being able to grab fresh khachapuri for breakfast and then walk it off exploring the narrow streets around the square. The metro isn’t far either, so getting to other parts of the city is straightforward when you need it.

You get a solid four-star experience in what’s genuinely one of the best locations in the city — that 10.0 location score isn’t just marketing fluff. It’s the kind of place where you feel like you’re staying in Tbilisi rather than just visiting it, especially when you’re sitting in the square in the evening watching the locals go about their business. For couples particularly, there’s something romantic about having your own little studio base in such a historic and lively part of the city.
