I spent a morning strolling down Shota Rustaveli Avenue, grabbing a latte at the café on 19th Street that has a window overlooking the old part of the city. The next day, I took a quick walk to the small park near the city hall, where a group of kids were playing a game of football in a half‑filled field. I also ventured into the old town’s narrow lanes, where the scent of wood smoke mingles with the aroma of spice‑laden restaurants. For dinner, I hit the bistro on Abanotubani, a place locals swear by for its “khinkali with a twist.” The food was decent, the portion sizes generous, and the service was a little slow, but the chilled wine I ordered made up for it. I’d recommend trying the local wine at the bar on the 2nd floor of the MD Apart; it’s a small, cozy spot that offers a panoramic view of the city lights at night—perfect for a quiet evening.

I’d say it’s a solid choice for someone who wants to immerse themselves in the local vibe, taste the city’s culinary diversity, and still have a comfortable, quiet home base.
