Matiane Boutique Hotel Overview
Look, I’ll be honest – when I first heard about Matiane Boutique Hotel, I wasn’t sure what to expect. The name sounded intriguing, but you know how it is with boutique places sometimes. They can either be absolutely charming or trying way too hard to be something they’re not. Well, I’m happy to report this one falls squarely in the charming category.
The moment you walk in, there’s this immediate sense that someone actually cared about every detail here. I mean, it’s not just thrown together – you can tell they put real thought into the design without making it feel stuffy or museum-like. The lobby has this warm, lived-in quality that makes you want to sink into one of their chairs with a book and just… stay awhile. The lighting is spot-on too, which honestly makes such a difference (I’ve stayed in places where you feel like you’re under interrogation lights, and it’s awful). What really got me was the little touches – fresh flowers that actually looked fresh, not those sad corporate arrangements, and the staff genuinely seemed to know what they were doing without being overly formal about it.
The rooms are where this place really shines though. Everything feels intentional but not precious, if you know what I mean. The beds are properly comfortable – and I’m picky about mattresses – with linens that feel expensive without being slippery. The bathrooms are well-designed too, with decent water pressure and those little amenities that show they’re paying attention to guest experience. I actually found myself looking forward to coming back to the room each evening, which doesn’t always happen when you’re traveling. The soundproofing is pretty good as well; I could hear some street noise if I really listened for it, but nothing that interfered with sleep.
What really sets Matiane apart is that it manages to feel both polished and personal at the same time. The common areas invite you to linger – there’s this great spot near the windows where the afternoon light is just perfect, and I noticed other guests naturally gravitating there too. The whole place has this relaxed sophistication that doesn’t make you feel like you need to be on your best behavior every second. With a 9 rating from other travelers, I’m clearly not the only one who appreciates what they’ve created here. It’s the kind of four-star property that doesn’t feel like it’s trying to prove anything – it just quietly delivers on comfort and style without the fuss. Honestly, if you’re looking for somewhere that feels more like staying at a well-designed friend’s place than a generic hotel, this is your spot.
Apartments in Tbilisi provide travelers with authentic local experiences, allowing them to explore traditional Georgian markets and cook with fresh Caucasian ingredients.

Staff was very attentive and helpful. We stayed 3 nights and it was definitely excellent for the value! When we wanted to buy water for the airport, it was not an issue for the staff who kindly gave us water for the road (cannot say same thing about other hotels we stayed where water was complimentary only once). Room was quite spacious aswell and great location.
