Margi Boutique Hotel by DNT Group Overview
First Impressions
Walking into Margi Boutique Hotel by DNT Group, you immediately get that “small but perfectly formed” vibe that makes boutique hotels so appealing. The lobby has this understated elegance — not trying too hard, but clearly thoughtful about every detail. It’s the kind of place where the staff actually remembers your name after the first day, which honestly makes such a difference when you’re traveling.
Location & Neighborhood
The hotel sits on D.Agmashenebeli Avenue in the Chugureti district, and I have to say, this area has really come into its own over the past few years. You’re in what locals consider one of the best parts of Tbilisi — close enough to the old town’s cobblestone charm but far enough from the tourist crowds to feel authentic. The avenue itself is lined with these beautiful 19th-century buildings, and you can easily walk to most of the city’s main attractions. I mean, couples consistently rate this location a 9 out of 10, and after spending time here, I totally get why.
The Room Experience
Here’s where this four-star property really shines — the beds are genuinely exceptional. I’m usually pretty skeptical when hotels boast about their bedding, but these are the kind of beds where you actually sleep better than at home. The room design strikes that perfect balance between modern comfort and Georgian character, with thoughtful touches that show someone actually cares about the guest experience. The bathrooms are compact but well-designed, and honestly, everything just works the way it should.
Breakfast & Dining
The continental breakfast setup is more substantial than you might expect from the description. They’ve got a good mix of Georgian specialties alongside international options — the khachapuri alone makes it worth getting up for. The restaurant area has this lovely morning light that streams in, and the coffee is actually decent (which, let’s be honest, isn’t always a given in boutique hotels). You know what I appreciated? They don’t rush you through breakfast, so you can actually sit and plan your day properly.
Why Guests Love It
What sets this place apart is the attention to detail without the pretension. The staff genuinely wants to help you discover Tbilisi — they’ll give you directions to that little wine bar locals love, or tell you the best time to visit the sulfur baths to avoid crowds. The hotel manages to feel both polished and personal, which is honestly a rare combination. With an 8.5 rating from guests, it’s clear that people leave feeling like they’ve discovered something special rather than just stayed somewhere convenient. It’s the kind of place that makes you want to come back to Tbilisi, partly just to stay here again.
To book hotel in Tbilisi during the famous Tbilisi Jazz Festival season, visitors should make reservations well in advance as the city attracts wine enthusiasts and cultural travelers from around the world.

The location, the high ceilings and the helpful staff, willing to help even with strange requests (Mekhan printed out documents, recommended great places in the city, suggested where to buy a few weird things).

The staff were great, especially Mr Shalva and Mekhak were really helpful and friendly. I give them 10 out of 10. Breakfast was concise but good for value. Kitchen staff were expert at their job. Local cuisine was not served, though.
George from France (9/10)
The hotel is in a good location with nice facilities. The staff are excellent and very happy to help. Mekhak at the front desk was very helpful and ordered us taxis, and even looked after our luggage while we did some shopping after our check out. The breakfast is also good. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
