I’ll be honest – when I first walked into the Magnolia, I wasn’t expecting much from the exterior. But you know what? Sometimes the best places surprise you, and this 4-star gem absolutely delivered on that front. The lobby has this warm, lived-in elegance that immediately puts you at ease, sort of like stepping into a well-appointed friend’s home rather than a sterile hotel chain.

What really struck me about this place is how they’ve nailed that sweet spot between comfort and sophistication. The staff actually remembers your name after the first day (which honestly doesn’t happen everywhere), and there’s this genuine attention to detail that you notice in small ways – fresh flowers that aren’t just decoration, they actually smell amazing, and the kind of lighting that makes you look good in the elevator mirrors. I mean, the 8.5 rating makes total sense once you’re there for a few days. The rooms have character without being fussy, and the beds… well, let’s just say I had to resist the urge to ask where they source their linens because I wanted them for home.

The thing about Magnolia is that it feels like they understand what travelers actually want versus what hotels think we want. The Wi-Fi works everywhere (even in the elevator, which I tested), there’s proper water pressure in the showers, and – this might sound silly but it matters – the curtains actually block out light when you want to sleep in. I stayed during what seemed like a busy season, but the common areas never felt crowded or rushed. There’s something to be said for a place that maintains its calm even when it’s full. The breakfast situation is solid too, nothing groundbreaking but definitely fresh and they don’t run out of the good stuff by 9 AM like some places do. If I’m being completely honest, my only minor gripe was that the air conditioning took a while to kick in, but once it did, it was perfectly quiet – no rattling or weird noises that keep you up at night. This is definitely the kind of place I’d book again without hesitation.

  Great hotel to stay in Tbilisi. Located in Mtatsminda in 10 min walk from Liberty square where metro station and Gallery Mall are located.
  Stayed here for 5 nights with my wife in July 2022. Staff is very hospital and speaks English very well.
  Hotel has tasty breakfast on B2 floor and roof terrace with nice city view.
  Would definitely recommend and stay here again.
