The lobby hits you with this warm, understated vibe that feels more like a well-designed friend’s place than a typical hotel. There’s this subtle woody scent (hence the name, I’m guessing – madera means wood in Spanish) that’s not overpowering but creates this cozy atmosphere you notice without realizing it. The staff actually remembers your name after the first day, which is refreshing in a world where most hotels treat you like room number 247. Check-in was smooth – no weird upselling attempts or confusing key card explanations, just straightforward hospitality.

What really impressed me was how they’ve thought through the guest experience without being flashy about it. The rooms are thoughtfully laid out with enough outlets in the right places (finally, someone who gets it), and the lighting actually works for both relaxing and getting ready to go out. The beds are that perfect firmness where you don’t sink in like quicksand but don’t feel like you’re sleeping on concrete either. I stayed there during what seemed like a busy period, but the hallways stayed surprisingly quiet – good sound insulation, I guess. The bathroom setup is smart too, with enough counter space that you don’t have to play Tetris with your toiletries. One small thing that bugged me was the shower pressure could’ve been stronger, but honestly, that’s pretty minor in the grand scheme of things. The whole place just feels like they’ve actually had real travelers test everything instead of just going with whatever looked good in the catalog. It’s the kind of spot where you end up extending your stay if you can swing it, not because it’s the fanciest place you’ve ever seen, but because it just works.

  The staff was very nice especially Shorena in the reception, very sophisticated and intellectual lady it was good to find someone who speaks fluent English.

  The hotel exceeded all my expectations. The location is the very center of Tbilisi, two minutes walk from the central avenue, but on a quiet street away from the noise. The hotel has its own small courtyard where you can relax, listen to the birds singing. The staff is very kind and attentive to each guest. Inside the room is big, perfectly clean, recently renovated, orthopedic mattress of excellent quality, beautiful design, a lot of interesting details. It was cold outside in May, but the heating was on inside, they take care of the guests. Breakfast is continental: cornflakes with milk, boiled egg, ham, cheese, bread, coffee or tea. You can make your own hot sandwich in a toaster. I recommend Madera Hotel for accommodation in Tbilisi. Thank you very much and good luck!
