I was staying at Lola Apartments in Tbilisi last month, and honestly, it felt like a home away from home—just tucked into Chugureti, 21 Giorgi Chubinashvili Street, right near the little park that locals call “the green lung” of the neighborhood. The building’s façade is a modest mix of old stone and new glass, and you can already tell the apartment‘s vibe from the moment you step inside: soft, neutral walls, a small balcony that offers a view of the street where vendors shout out their fresh produce, and a little bit of that quintessential Georgian hum that never quite dies down. The place is 4-star, but it’s more about charm than high-end flash; the rating of 9.4 is a sweet spot for travelers who want comfort without the hotel bureaucracy.

The rooms are surprisingly spacious for the price—think 25 square meters of clean, airy space, with a king-size bed that feels like a cloud, a flat-screen TV, and that lovely little kitchenette. The bathroom is a hit with its deep bathtub and a shower that actually cools you down on hot days. I parked on the street right outside; the city’s parking system is a bit of a maze, but you can get a free spot if you circle the block early in the morning. Traffic gets noisy around 4–5 pm when the buses and trams start to pile up, but the walls are thick enough that you don’t hear the horns—just the occasional muffled conversation from the next door. Check‑in was at 3 pm, which was perfect because I could drop my bags and hit the local coffee shop before the staff even finished ringing me up. The front desk staff were friendly and spoke a bit of English, but they also threw in a few Georgian phrases—“Bari, k’vi?”—which felt like a warm welcome.

If you’re a foodie you’ll love that the apartment is within walking distance of a small khachapuri shop on the corner of Sioni Street—its fresh, buttery taste is unforgettable. And a ten‑minute walk takes you to the Tbilisi Botanical Garden, where the scent of jasmine mingles with the sound of a fountain. The area’s nightlife is pretty chill; most bars are a few streets over, so you won’t hear the loud music spilling into your room at night. The only real downside is that the building’s elevator is a bit slow—so if you’re staying in a higher floor, you might want to bring a good book. But honestly, the apartment’s layout is a win: the living area opens onto the balcony, making it a lovely spot to sip tea while watching the city lights flicker. For anyone looking to experience real Tbilisi life without the tourist fluff, Lola Apartments is a solid, comfortable choice.

  Everything is perfect, from the place, the vibes and the amenities.
  
  What could be improved: If you’re used to elevators or in a wheelchair, this place is not for you as it is a very amazing place but it only has stairs and on the 3rd floor so it’s not convenient for people with disabilities or people who have illness. But for group or couple healthy folks this place is the best!!!

  The best host ever, very kind and helpful. She was ready to help us with everything! There were two really big comfort beds. Other sleeping places were not so comfortable. Internet was perfect.
  
  What could be improved: There were not enough dishes, cookwares, etc. The only small pan, the cups were small only. The shower were not convenient (look at the photos, they are truthful).
