Librarians’ Flat Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Librarians’ Flat on Davit Aghmashenebeli Avenue, you immediately get the sense that you’ve stumbled onto something special. This four-star apartment sits right in the heart of Chugureti, and honestly — the location couldn’t be better. I mean, there’s a reason couples keep raving about this place, and it’s not just the romantic vibes. The building itself has that classic Tbilisi charm, with those beautiful balconies you see all over the old neighborhoods.
The Neighborhood
Here’s what I love about staying in this part of Tbilisi — you’re actually living like a local. Davit Aghmashenebeli Avenue is this incredible mix of old-school Georgian architecture and trendy cafes that have popped up in recent years. You can walk to the sulfur baths in about ten minutes, which is perfect for those late-night soaks after exploring the city. The area has this authentic feel that you just don’t get in the more touristy parts of town, and the locals are incredibly welcoming.
The Space
The room itself feels more like staying at a well-traveled friend’s place than a typical hotel. There’s a proper kitchen where you can actually cook — and trust me, after a few days of khachapuri and khinkali, sometimes you want to make your own coffee the way you like it. The space is thoughtfully designed with books scattered around (fitting, given the name), and the windows let in this gorgeous natural light that makes everything feel warm and inviting. Every corner has been carefully curated for comfort and relaxation.
Practical Perks
You know what’s actually amazing? The free parking. If you’ve ever tried to find a spot in central Tbilisi, you’ll understand why this is such a big deal. Plus, the location score of 9.7 isn’t just marketing fluff — it really is that well-positioned. You can walk to most of the main attractions, but you’re also close enough to the metro if you want to venture further out. The hosts are responsive too, which makes a difference when you’re in a foreign city and need local recommendations. They go above and beyond to ensure your stay is memorable.
Why Guests Love It
There’s something about this place that just works, especially for couples looking for a romantic getaway. Maybe it’s the way the evening light hits the apartment, or how you can hear the gentle buzz of neighborhood life without feeling overwhelmed by tourist crowds. The 8.5 rating reflects what I experienced — it’s not perfect, but it’s genuine and comfortable in all the ways that matter. You’ll find yourself wanting to linger over morning coffee and plan your next visit to Tbilisi before you’ve even left. This is the kind of place that stays with you long after checkout.

Reviews of Librarians’ Flat
Convenient and quiet apartment – Tim from Indonesia – August 13, 2025 (8/10)
The apartment is tiny, but in a great location just at the end of the Marjanashvili walking street. It was quiet and comfortable and had everything we needed. The washing machine was a nice touch. A special thanks to the host for accommodating our family (2 adults, 2 kids) at very short notice and giving us free parking.
What could be improved: Everything was great. Good value for money.Exceptional – Angelika from Poland – April 4, 2025 (10/10)
George is the nicest person I have ever rented an apartment from 😊 he was in touch with us throughout our stay and made sure we had everything we needed, he even came to pick us up when we couldn't find a place to park 😊 I wholeheartedly recommend this apartment!
Great host and place! – Agnieszka from Poland – February 28, 2025 (10/10)
Great location of the apartment, in the center of the city. Everywhere close on foot, lots of both touristy and great places for locals.
George is a great host, in addition to hosting us in the apartment, he also recommended lots of cool restaurants, showed us around the city and explained the current political situation in Georgia. When we checked out, he made sure we arrived safely in the next town (due to the difficult weather conditions). We are very grateful for this, thank you ❤️

central location, small but cosy, everything you need is available, very good value for money and very friendly host
A cozy centrally located place – Petr from Russia – August 8, 2023 (10/10)
The apartment is very centrally located with lots of cafés and bars nearby, yet it is rather quiet. The apartment is just on the edge of the touristy part, which can be skipped if one choses to walk in the opposite direction. Marjanishvili metro station is a pleasant 5-minutes walk. The apartment is on the ground floor, so there are no stairs to reach it. The apartment is very clean and freshly renovated, everything is just as in photos. The couch in the kitchen transforms into a double bed or two single beds. The kitchen is well equipped, there is a washing machine (detergent included), the AC worked quite well in 35 °C / 95 °F. As the name suggests, there is a good choice of books in the apartment, and we even found a chessboard. The property owners were always in touch since we made the booking, checking in went as smooth as it gets, and there was a bottle of cold white wine waiting for us in the apartment.
What could be improved: The apartment may feel a bit small if you travel in a large group (there were four of us and we spent one night just fine).Very friendly place in the center of Tbilisi – Pahryta from United States – June 15, 2023 (10/10)
Very good location, quiet place. Very comfortable bed. The host was very nice to us, always on the phone if we needed anything. But we didn't need anything, because everything was VERY GOOD! We enjoyed our staying at the apartment.
What could be improved: If you're coming with friends, be sure to save some hot water in the morning because the boiler is not that big for 4 people 😄
