Look, I’ll be honest – when I first heard the name Kobasapartament, I wasn’t sure what to expect. It sounds a bit quirky, right? But honestly, this 4-star place completely surprised me in the best way possible. The 9.6 rating you see online? Yeah, that’s actually legit, and I’m usually pretty skeptical about those numbers.

What really got me was how they’ve managed to nail that sweet spot between apartment-style comfort and proper hotel service. You know what I mean – sometimes aparthotels feel like glorified Airbnbs where nobody’s around when you need help, but this place is different. The staff actually knows what they’re doing, and there’s this genuine warmth that feels authentic rather than scripted. I remember arriving later than planned (thanks to flight delays), and instead of that passive-aggressive “well, we close reception at…” attitude, they were genuinely accommodating. The whole check-in experience was surprisingly smooth – none of that awkward fumbling with key cards or confusing elevator explanations.

The rooms themselves have this lived-in quality that I really appreciated. Not “lived-in” like worn out, but more like someone actually thought about how people move through the space. The kitchen setup is practical enough that you could genuinely cook a meal if you wanted to, but you’re not stuck with some sad hot plate situation. I ended up making coffee there most mornings because, honestly, it was better than what I found at nearby cafes (and that’s saying something). The bathroom had decent water pressure – I know, not the most glamorous detail, but after a day of walking around, it matters. There’s also this attention to lighting that you don’t always get in hotels; it’s warm and adjustable rather than that harsh overhead fluorescent nightmare. The soundproofing is pretty solid too – I could hear some street activity during the day, but nothing that kept me up at night. Actually, the neighborhood sounds kind of became part of the charm after a while. Parking was straightforward, which saved me the usual headache of circling around looking for a spot. One tiny thing – the WiFi occasionally got a bit slow in the evenings when everyone was probably streaming, but it was reliable enough for work calls and staying connected.

Hotel in Tbilisi booking should be done early, especially during harvest season when the city hosts internationally celebrated wine festivals and cultural events.

  What I saw was what I got. I liked that it was a small private building on a quiet residential street near the Alvibari Metro. It was exactly like the photos, a studio apartment with an eat in kitchen, washing machine and bathroom with a stall shower. There was a heating/cooling unit set high on the wall operated by remote control. It had windows that opened and the one to the front had an attractive grill to prevent any human being from coming in.
  
  When I am staying for any length of time in a city, I always try to find an apartment away from tourist centers but near public transportation and food stores. This apartment filled the bill. What was a surprise was that the kitchen had a back door to one of those shared courtyards with clotheslines. When I opened that door I was greeted by several community cats looking expectant!
  
  Since both my arrival and departure flights were in the wee hours of the morning before dawn, I hired Koba to pick me up from the airport and to drop me off on my way home. He charged a little more than the Maxim App, but there was no doubt that I would have transportation and it was worth it.
  
  The stove has an oveen, but it has been a long time since I had used a match to light an oven and forgot to ask him how to light it.

  Koba's apartment is a true reflection of Georgian hospitality. Koba greeted me in the early hours of the morning at the airport and helped me settle in.
  
  I enjoyed the apartment. It's comfortable and I was able to work online. It has everything you need for a short or even long-term stay.
