Kazma Boutique Hotel Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Kazma Boutique Hotel on Zurab Zhvania Street, you immediately get that “hidden gem” feeling. This four-star boutique property sits perfectly in the Mtatsminda district, and honestly, the location couldn’t be better — there’s a reason couples rate it 9.8 out of 10. The building itself has this understated elegance that fits right into Tbilisi‘s eclectic architectural mix, where you’ll find Soviet-era structures next to renovated Georgian townhouses. Every corner reveals thoughtful design choices that honor the city’s rich heritage while maintaining contemporary comfort standards.
The Mtatsminda Advantage
You know what I love about staying here? You’re literally in the heart of everything without feeling overwhelmed by tourist crowds. The Mtatsminda area gives you easy access to Rustaveli Avenue — Georgia’s main cultural strip — but you can also walk to the old town’s cobblestone streets in about ten minutes. I mean, when you step out the front door, you’re surrounded by some of Tbilisi’s best cafes and wine bars, plus the famous sulfur baths are just a short stroll away. The location score of 9.7 makes total sense once you realize how walkable everything is from here. This neighborhood perfectly balances accessibility with authentic local atmosphere.
Room Experience
The room I stayed in had that boutique hotel charm — not huge, but thoughtfully designed with local touches that actually mean something. The windows offer glimpses of Tbilisi’s unique skyline, where church domes peek between modern buildings and traditional balconies. What struck me most was the attention to detail in the furnishings; everything felt curated rather than just ordered from a hotel supply catalog. The bathrooms are modern and well-appointed, which honestly matters more than you’d think when you’re exploring a city all day. Each element contributes to an experience that feels personal and intentional.
Morning Fuel
Breakfast here is served buffet-style, and while it’s not the most elaborate spread I’ve encountered, it hits all the right notes. You’ll find Georgian specialties alongside international options — the khachapuri (cheese-filled bread) alone makes it worth getting up for. The dining area has this cozy, almost residential feel that makes morning coffee feel less rushed. I actually found myself lingering longer than usual, planning out my day while watching Tbilisi wake up through the windows. The quality and variety ensure every guest finds something to enjoy.
Why Guests Love It
The 9.7 rating isn’t just about the prime location — though that’s certainly a huge part of it. It’s the kind of place where the staff genuinely seems to care about your experience without being overly formal about it. The size works in its favor too; you’re not lost in a massive hotel complex, but you’re not cramped in a tiny guesthouse either. For couples especially, this place strikes that perfect balance between intimate and sophisticated, with enough local character to make you feel like you’re really experiencing Tbilisi rather than just visiting it. The combination of thoughtful service and authentic atmosphere creates lasting memories.

Reviews of Kazma Boutique Hotel

Our group recently stayed at Kazma Boutique Hotel, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Traveling with a group that includes a person who uses a wheelchair can sometimes present challenges, but this hotel made everything seamless and stress-free.
First and foremost, the accessibility at Kazma Boutique Hotel was outstanding. From the moment we arrived, the hotel staff was extremely helpful, offering assistance with our luggage and ensuring a room on ground floor was well-suited for wheelchair access and use.
Our accessible room was a highlight. It was generously sized, with plenty of space to move around comfortably in a wheelchair. The bathroom was thoughtfully designed, making it incredibly convenient. The bed was at a comfortable height, and the overall layout of the room allowed for easy navigation.
The hotel’s restaurant also catered perfectly to our breakfast needs.
We also loved the location of the hotel. It is close to the old city center and local attractions, making it easy for us to explore the area. The hotel even organized great transport to&from the airport, which we also used driving to Gori.
Overall, Kazma Boutique Hotel provided an inclusive, comfortable, and enjoyable experience for everyone in our group. It’s clear they prioritize accessibility and guest comfort in every way. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling with a diverse group, including those who may have specific mobility needs. Wifi worked great.
We’ll definitely be staying here again on our next visit!Sophie from Russia (10/10)
