Hotel Wine Time Tbilisi Overview
When I first stepped into the lobby of Hotel Wine Time Tbilisi, honestly, I was struck by how the place feels like a cozy, well‑worn armchair in the middle of a bustling city. The reception desk is a simple wooden counter, and the staff—mostly young locals—greet you with a warm smile and a quick “Good morning, what can I do for you?” The check‑in itself is pretty breezy; they don’t bother you with a mountain of paperwork, just a quick swipe of your ID and a digital key. If you’re into that sort of thing, the room key comes on a small card that you can stick on your pocket. I do have to say the Wi‑Fi is a bit spotty, so if you’re a serial tweet‑and‑post person, you might want to bring a portable hotspot.
The room itself is a two‑story affair, with a view of the city that’s a mix of old stone buildings and the new glass towers that are cropping up everywhere. The bed is a king‑size with a super‑soft duvet that feels like you’re sleeping on a cloud—well, a cloud that’s been carefully filled with memory foam. The bathroom is bright and airy, but the shower’s water pressure is a tad weak in the corners. The minibar is stocked with a decent selection of local wines—cheers to that! The room was quiet, which is a huge win if you’re trying to catch up on sleep after a day of hiking to Mtskheta or wandering the streets near Rustaveli Avenue. The only thing that was a little annoying was the faint whiff of cigarette smoke that managed to sneak in from the hallway; the staff did a good job of airing it out, though.
Now, the real charm of this place is how it’s tucked into Viktor Jorbenadze Street, which is just a few minutes’ walk from the bustling Vake Park and a short stroll from the historic Sioni Cathedral. If you’re craving a taste of real Georgian cuisine, I’d walk you over to the small café on the corner that’s called “Kvili.” Their khachapuri is so creamy and buttery that you’ll want to eat it with your hands—literally. For a more relaxed vibe, there’s a little wine bar on the second floor of the hotel that boasts a tiny patio overlooking the city. The staff there are friendly; they’ll recommend a local red wine that pairs perfectly with a plate of khinkali. Parking is a bit of a challenge; there’s a small paid garage next to the building, but if you’re okay with street parking, there are a few spots around the corner, though they can fill up quickly during the tourist season. I would also mention that the noise level in the city’s center can get a little loud after 10 pm, but the hotel’s windows are well‑sealed, so it’s not a big deal inside.
Finally, one of my favorite moments was when the hotel’s staff surprised me with a bottle of Saperavi as a welcome gift. It was a small thought, but it made me feel right at home. I’ve seen plenty of hotels that try to be “world‑class,” but this one feels more like a neighborhood gem that knows its guests. If you’re planning a trip to Tbilisi and want a place that’s both comfortable and steeped in local flavor, this is a solid pick. It’s not perfect—Wi‑Fi lag, a bit of smoke odor—but the overall experience is genuinely warm, and it’s exactly the sort of place you’ll want to recommend to friends.

It was a great location where you can reach every part of Tiblisi with great ease. Personnel was polite and helpful.
What could be improved: The exact location of the Hotel did not exist in Google Maps with its current name, so it took me some time to find the right location.I recommend the hotel, good location, clean, tidy, friendly staff, everything is great – Jasmina from Montenegro – December 24, 2024 (10/10)
Everything was great
Good – Jan from Finland – April 26, 2025 (7/10)
Overall good hotel with nice staff. Great location and good breakfast. Great return for the money.
What could be improved: Shower/ restroom werent 100% clean and also had an issue with the rain shower head in the shower.Good value hotel in Tbilisi. – Aidan from Netherlands – May 26, 2025 (7/10)
In a good location, the breakfast selection is good but the coffee machine wasn’t working which meant that I didn’t consume my normal amount of coffee.
What could be improved: The room did not have a window opening to the outside, the window that was there opened to the inner reception area in the hotel. That made it feel a bit suffocating as opening the window felt like sharing my privacy with the other residents.Bad bad bad – Suaad from United Arab Emirates – December 4, 2024 (1/10)
Very bad they were not supportive or helpful all the times the receptionists not in their desk empty ,, very rude not coming again
What could be improved: Staff were not doing their job and leaving the information desk all the times we couldn’t find them and if we asked for any favor they always refuse to doWonderful – Ezgi from Turkey – November 20, 2024 (9/10)
kahvalti cok iyiydi.
otelin yeri cok merkezi, yalnizca yuruyecekler icin yokusta yer aliyor.
What could be improved: gunluk temizlik icin girmemislerdi ve banyoda malzeme eksikleri vardi.Personel güleryüzlü ve yardımseverdi. Kahvaltısı lezzetli ve çeşit olarak yeterliydi. – Çelik from Turkey – November 14, 2024 (9/10)
Konumu harikaydı. Bir çok yere yürüme mesafesinde. Merkezi olmasına rağmen sessiz bir sokakta
Wonderful – Ayşe from Turkey – April 4, 2025 (9/10)
Temizlik çok iyiydi.
What could be improved: Çift kişilik yatak yerine iki tek kişiliği birleştirmişler, aşırı konforsuzdu. Sürekli yataklar birbirinden ayrıldı ve uyku kalitemizi etkiledi.Good – Elena from Russia – November 24, 2024 (7/10)
Расположение хорошее, в тихом месте и не далеко от туристических мест
What could be improved: Полы в ванной были грязные, попросила помыть еще раз, после того, как помыли ничего не поменялось
