You know what caught me off guard about Hotel Tbilisi Tower? The name makes it sound like some massive glass monolith, but when you actually get there, it’s got this unexpectedly intimate feel that I wasn’t expecting from a 4-star place. I mean, don’t get me wrong – it’s definitely sleek and modern – but there’s something almost boutique-like about how they’ve set everything up.

The thing that really impressed me was how they’ve managed to capture that whole contemporary Georgian vibe without going overboard with it. The lobby has these really nice touches – I’m talking about the kind of details you notice when you’re actually staying somewhere, not just passing through. The marble they use has this warm undertone that works really well with the lighting, and honestly, the whole check-in process was smoother than I expected. No standing around for twenty minutes while they hunt for your reservation, which is always a relief after a long travel day.

What I found interesting is how the staff actually seems to know Tbilisi – like, really know it. When I asked about getting to some of the older neighborhoods, the concierge didn’t just hand me a generic tourist map. Instead, he spent a few minutes explaining which routes to take depending on the time of day (apparently traffic patterns are pretty specific around certain areas), and he was spot-on about everything. That 8.7 rating starts to make sense when you experience these kinds of interactions. The rooms themselves are well thought out too – good blackout curtains, which you don’t always get, and the bathrooms actually have enough counter space for your stuff. Small things, but they matter when you’re settling in for a few days. The soundproofing is decent, though you might catch some street noise if you’re facing the busier side – nothing terrible, just the usual city sounds that come with staying somewhere that’s actually connected to the life of the place rather than tucked away in some sterile hotel district.
