What really struck me though was how the hotel sits in this sweet spot where you’re surrounded by cafes and galleries, but it’s not touristy in that overwhelming way. You’ll see locals heading to work in the morning, which always feels like a good sign to me.

The room I stayed in had these lovely high ceilings that made everything feel more spacious than the square footage would suggest. The windows face either the avenue or the quieter courtyard side — honestly, both have their charm. Avenue-facing means you can people-watch (and the double-glazing keeps things peaceful), while courtyard rooms give you that sense of being tucked away from the city buzz. The beds are genuinely comfortable, and there’s enough storage space that you won’t be living out of your suitcase.

The hotel’s restaurant serves both Georgian and international dishes, and while I’m usually skeptical of hotel dining, they actually do a decent job with the local specialties. Breakfast runs until a reasonable hour — none of that “kitchen closes at 9 AM sharp” nonsense. What I appreciated most was how the staff seemed to understand that travelers have different rhythms. Some mornings you want to rush out and explore, others you want to linger over coffee and plan your day.
