I stayed during what turned out to be a surprisingly busy weekend (apparently there was some local festival I hadn’t heard about), but the walls are thick enough that I barely heard my neighbors. Actually, the only real noise came from the church bells nearby, which were kind of charming during the day but… well, let’s just say if you’re a light sleeper, pack earplugs for Sunday morning. The breakfast spread was another pleasant surprise – none of that sad continental stuff, but proper local specialties that change seasonally. I found myself lingering over coffee way longer than usual just watching the morning light filter through those gorgeous tall windows in the dining room.   Location: This hotel is located in the heart of Old Town. Coming out in the morning onto the ancient cobblestone pavement, you can easily imagine yourself at the end of the century before last. With a light step down the hill, you reach the embankment of the Kura River, where your journey begins.
