Hotel Grand Palace Overview
I’ll be honest – when I first walked into the Hotel Grand Palace, I wasn’t expecting much from the name alone. You know how some places try too hard with these grandiose titles? But this one actually delivers on the promise, and I mean that in the best possible way. The lobby hits you with this perfect balance of elegant without being stuffy, if that makes sense. There’s marble everywhere, but it’s warm marble, not the cold institutional stuff you sometimes get. The check-in was surprisingly smooth too – I was dreading one of those long, complicated processes, but the staff actually seemed to know what they were doing.
What really won me over, though, was how they handle the details that most places completely ignore. The elevators are quick (seriously, no standing around for five minutes), the hallways don’t echo like crazy when people walk by at night, and – this might sound weird – but the key cards actually work on the first try. I stayed on the seventh floor, and honestly, the view was better than I expected. You can see quite a bit of the city from up there, especially if you get one of the corner rooms. The rooms themselves are spacious without feeling empty, which is harder to pull off than you’d think. I particularly liked that they didn’t go overboard with the “luxury” touches – no weird sculptural lamps that don’t give off any light or those impossibly firm decorative pillows that serve no purpose.
The service is where this place really shines, actually. It’s that sweet spot where they’re attentive without hovering, you know? I had a minor issue with the air conditioning (it was making this weird clicking sound), and maintenance was up there within twenty minutes. No forms to fill out, no “we’ll get to it tomorrow” – just quick, professional problem-solving. The restaurant downstairs is solid too, though I’d skip breakfast there if you’re on a budget – it’s a bit pricey for what you get. But room service? Definitely worth it, and they’re fast even during busy periods. I was there during what seemed like a busy conference week, and everything still ran smoothly. The 8.8 rating makes complete sense once you’ve stayed there – it’s not perfect (the Wi-Fi can be spotty in some corners of the building), but it gets the important stuff right. For a four-star place, it punches above its weight class. If you’re looking for somewhere reliable that won’t break the bank but still feels special, this is your spot.
Best hotels in Tbilisi range from charming boutique properties in the historic Old Town to elegant hillside hotels with stunning views of the Mtkvari River and Narikala Fortress.

It was really comfortable hotel , with friendly staff specially the manager, breakfast was really perfect and variable with cold and hot buffet, room’s view was not special but its little balcony was usable i think for who smoke ! The location was a little far from the center of city and you must take taxi to go everywhere ! Not because of distance but because of the location ! Totally it was just really nice by its price
