Hotel Genio Overview
I’ll be honest – when I first walked into Hotel Genio, I wasn’t expecting much from another 4-star place, but this one actually surprised me in the best way. There’s something about the way they’ve put everything together that just works, you know? The lobby has this warm, lived-in feeling that doesn’t try too hard to impress, and the staff genuinely seems to care about getting the details right. I mean, they remembered my coffee preference by day two, which is the kind of thing that makes you feel like you’re staying somewhere special rather than just another room number.
What really got me was how thoughtfully everything’s been designed – and I’m not talking about fancy marble or over-the-top chandeliers. It’s more about the little things that show someone was actually thinking about what travelers need. The rooms have proper reading lights (finally!), enough outlets where you actually need them, and honestly, some of the most comfortable beds I’ve slept in lately. The shower pressure is fantastic, which might sound trivial but trust me, after a long day of exploring, it matters more than you’d think. The soundproofing is solid too – I barely heard any street noise, even though we’re talking about a pretty active area.
The breakfast deserves its own mention because they’ve managed to avoid that generic hotel buffet trap. Fresh local pastries, decent coffee that doesn’t taste like it’s been sitting around for hours, and they actually change things up throughout the week. I found myself looking forward to it, which rarely happens at hotels. The 8.8 rating this place has earned feels spot-on – it’s not trying to be a luxury resort, but it delivers on everything it promises and then some. You can tell the management actually cares about the guest experience rather than just going through the motions. If you’re looking for a place that feels more like a well-run boutique hotel than a corporate chain, this is definitely worth considering. The value for what you get is honestly pretty impressive, especially considering how hard it is to find places these days that pay attention to both comfort and character.
Tbilisi’s apartments offer spacious accommodations with traditional charm, perfect for families wanting to experience daily life in this hospitable Georgian capital.

The hotel is comfortable, clean and quiet. The staff is helpful, especially Kristina, who was like a guardian angel and helped me with a bunch of things, above and beyond the call of duty. The hotel is a bit far from the center, but since cabs in Georgia are super cheap, that’s not really a problem.

This is a Pleasant property tucked away of the crowds and up the hill. Vake has a special charm for me and I like the cosiness of the place.
