I’ll be honest – when I first walked into Hotel City, I wasn’t expecting much from the name alone. It sounds pretty generic, right? But this 4-star spot actually surprised me in the best way possible. The lobby has this understated elegance that immediately made me think “okay, these people know what they’re doing.” The check-in was smooth (no waiting around forever like some places), and the staff genuinely seemed to care about making sure I had everything I needed rather than just going through the motions.

What really impressed me, though, was how they’ve managed to nail that sweet spot between professional service and not feeling stuffy. You know how some hotels make you feel like you need to whisper in the hallways? Not here. The atmosphere is relaxed but polished – I mean, with an 8.6 rating, they’re clearly doing something right. The rooms are thoughtfully designed with those little touches that show someone actually stayed in one before deciding what guests would want. Good lighting by the bed for reading, enough outlets in useful places, and honestly, one of the better showers I’ve had in a hotel this category. The housekeeping team is thorough too – I never had to call down for fresh towels or anything like that.

The common areas are where this place really shines, actually. There’s a lounge area that gets great natural light during the day, perfect for catching up on work or just people-watching with a coffee. Evenings tend to have a nice buzz without being too loud – you can actually have a conversation without shouting. I noticed they seem to attract a good mix of business travelers and leisure guests, which usually means a place has figured out how to appeal to different needs without compromising on quality. The breakfast situation is solid (not just continental pastries and sad fruit), and if you’re the type who likes to grab something quick and head out, they’ve got that covered too. Parking wasn’t a hassle, which honestly these days feels like a minor miracle in most cities. Overall, it’s one of those places where everything just works the way it should – nothing revolutionary, but consistently good in all the ways that matter when you just want a comfortable, reliable stay.

  when we arrived in Tbilisi, we were staying at another hotel, that first hotel room was super small and gave us a very bad first impression of Tbilisi because we were also staying in the old city which was not the best idea for the first time in Georgia, we thought about cutting short our stay even if it meant to lose the paid amount for the rest of the nights, this is when City Hotel came to the plan, it was a mood lifter, the Room is spacious, the design is amazing, we were lucky having the room with the big terrace which was amazing, breakfast was amazing, the location was in midtown 3 minutes walk from Freedom Square, everything was near, we visited most of Tbilisi by walking from the hotel and barely used any taxis.
  There are many options in Tbilisi, so I would honestly spare you the time looking and highly recommend this one.
  Bonus tip for Arabs: there are a ton of Halal restaurants 1 minute's walk from the hotel and also there is Bidet Sprayer in the toilet XD
