Holiday Inn – Tbilisi by IHG Overview
I landed in Tbilisi and the first thing I noticed was the buzz of 26 May Square – the kind of square that feels like a small town square inside a city. The hotel’s front desk is on that square, so you’re literally stepping into the middle of Saburtalo’s daily rhythm. I’ll be honest: the check‑in line was a tad long, probably because the staff are doing their best to keep the front desk tidy and the rooms ready for the next wave of tourists. The receptionist – a friendly Georgian woman named Nino – greeted me with a warm smile and a quick “Good morning!” that felt more like a hug than a greeting. Parking is a bit of a puzzle; the hotel offers a small paid lot behind the building, but I found a free space a block away on a quiet side street – just a few minutes’ walk from the lobby. The noise from the square is mostly traffic chatter, not the kind of racket that wakes you up at 3 am.
The room was a comfortable 4‑star space, not over‑the‑top but definitely well‑thought out. I liked that the window faced the city rather than the hotel’s own lawn, giving me a view of the winding streets of Saburtalo and the distant Mtkvari river. The bed was a solid hybrid foam that remembered where you wanted it to be – no more “I wish I could sleep on a different mattress” complaints. The bathroom had a rain shower that felt like a mini spa session, and the free toiletries were a nice touch, though the shampoo bottle was a little small for a long‑haul traveler. Wi‑Fi was decent, but I did notice a lag when I tried to stream a movie the first night – a minor hiccup in an otherwise smooth experience. The minibar was stocked with local wine, and I tried a bottle of Rkakeli – it was surprisingly fresh.
Breakfast was the real highlight, honestly. The hotel’s in‑house café offered a selection of local pastries – the khachapuri (cheese bread) was flaky and generous – and a small tea station that let you choose from Georgian green tea or the classic English breakfast tea. I also found a small corner table near the window that faced the square, which made the morning light feel like a gentle

Noicy breakfast area.
Insta «friendly» pool, apparently, a lot of people taking photos.
The staff working evenings and on weekends weren’t helpful, we had to wait until check-out time before someone with authority could take care of our complaints. A little bit late, but she did try to compensate.Holiday Inn hotel is a great and luxury hotel with great facilities. – Ahmad from Malaysia – July 20, 2025 (9/10)

A short but pleasant stay, slightly overshadowed by unexpected pricing at Chek-in. – Noran from Palestinian Territory – June 11, 2025 (9/10)
I had a very short stay at Holiday Inn, but overall it was a pleasant experience. The room was clean and comfortable, and the pool was excellent for relaxing after a long day. Unfortunately, I didn’t have the chance to try the breakfast or restaurant due to my late-night departure.
What could be improved: The only issue I faced was the pricing discrepancy — Booking.com confirmed a total of 340 GEL including taxes, but I was charged 400 GEL at check-in, with the hotel stating taxes were not included.Overall a great value for money place – Anurag from India – May 30, 2025 (9/10)
