HB apartments Marukhis Overview
I was in Tbilisi last month, craving a place that feels like a second home rather than a corporate hotel, and HB apartments Marukhis turned out to be that spot. You walk onto Marukhis Gmirebi Street, and the first thing you notice is the soft murmur of the street—cafe owners shouting out specials, the clink of espresso cups, and the distant sigh of buses. The building itself is an old Georgian townhouse that’s been tastefully restored: the balcony has a tiny potted plant that smells faintly of basil, and the lobby’s stone floor still shows the faint imprint of a long‑ago dance. I mean, the place feels lived‑in, not sterile, which is exactly what you want after a long haul.
The rooms are a mix of cozy and quirky. Some of them have a bit of dust on the window sills, but the sheets are crisp, and the bed—great mattress, you know?—makes you want to fall asleep to the sound of the city’s nightlife hush. I was a bit surprised by the small size of the bathroom; the shower is a touch weak, but there’s a little bottle of high‑quality hand soap that smells like citrus, which brightens the whole space. The kitchenette is functional, with a kettle that boils fast, a mini fridge, and a tiny wooden table that’s perfect for a quick bite. I dropped a cup of tea there, and the aroma danced around the room. The apartment also has a tiny, window‑sized balcony where you can enjoy your morning coffee while watching the street below—green trees of Vake Park peeking from a few blocks away. If you’re an early‑bird, you’ll hear the first gentle hum of the city as the buses start to move.
Parking is a bit of a scavenger hunt, honestly. There’s no dedicated lot for the hotel, but the streets around Marukhis Gmirebi are peppered with street‑parking spots that you can snag if you’re quick (just watch out for the hourly meter). The nearest paid parking is a short walk to the right of the building, behind a small chain‑store, and it’s reasonable. Noise-wise, the place is pretty quiet. The only rumble you might hear is from the nearby metro station—Vake—late at night, but it’s not enough to disturb a good night’s sleep. The check‑in experience was surprisingly smooth: the front desk is open 24/7, and the staff greet you with a warm Georgian smile, offering a complimentary mug of black tea. They hand you a small keycard for your apartment—no key, just a card that glows when you swipe it at the door, which is a nice touch for a tech‑savvy traveler.
If you’re planning a visit, I’d say the best time to stay is during the shoulder seasons—late spring or early fall—when the city isn’t at its peak rush, but the weather is still pleasant. The quiet hours in Vake are amazing; you can drop your bag at the front desk and head to the nearby Sioni Church or the Tbilisi Botanical Garden, both just a five‑minute walk away. The local café, “Kafi Bar,” is on the corner and serves the best chai with a splash of cardamom, and its owner will show you the best spot for a latte if you ask. If you’re a foodie, the “Sakartvelo

Reviews of HB apartments Marukhis
The best apartment I’ve ever rented in Tbilisi – Mark from Russia – February 15, 2025 (10/10)
The apartment is gorgeous, stylish, and has an incredible view. I love its huge desk, cozy living room, and beautiful bathroom. I’ve traveled to Tbilisi many times and can confidently say this is the best apartment I’ve ever booked.
What could be improved: If you walk, be prepared to climb the stairs a few times to reach the house, but the stunning view is worth it. Also, I’d suggest providing disposable slippers for the room, as the floor tends to be dusty for some reason.
