HB apartments Aghmashenebeli Overview
When I stepped onto 62‑64 Davit Aghmashenebeli Avenue, the first thing that caught my eye was the old Georgian façade—rustic, yet surprisingly tidy, with a faint smell of fresh paint and the distant hum of the city. The building’s red-brick walls look like they belong to a different era, but the modern elevator ride up to the apartment was a quick, almost seamless transition into contemporary comfort. The front desk staff—two young locals—were warm and efficient, giving me a quick rundown of the apartment’s layout and the best times to check in. Honestly, no one here wastes time with the usual “welcome to our hotel” spiel; they’re straight to the point, which I appreciated after a long flight. The reception area itself is bright, with a few low tables and a couple of local art pieces that showcase the city’s vibrant culture. It’s like stepping into a friend’s living room, only with a much bigger, well‑planned space.
The apartment—what I’d call the “HB apartments Aghmashenebeli”—is a cozy 2‑bedroom, 1‑bath suite that feels both spacious and intimate. The living room is padded with a plush sofa that actually feels like a cloud, and the floor-to-ceiling windows offer a view of the bustling street below. I mean, you can see the strollers, the scooters, the occasional protest—Tbilisi never really sleeps. The kitchen is a well‑equipped nook equipped with a stove, a mini fridge, and even a small coffee maker, which is a lifesaver for those late‑night espresso cravings. The bathroom is surprisingly bright, with a rainfall shower that lathers beautifully, and the hotel provides a selection of local soaps that smell like citrus and mint—refreshing after a day of sightseeing. The bed is a real highlight: a memory foam mattress that cradles you in comfort, with linens that feel like a gentle hug. Noise-wise, the apartment is quiet, especially during the night; the only sounds are the city’s distant traffic and an occasional siren—nothing that disturbs sleep. Parking is a bit of a hassle on Davit Aghmashenebeli, but there’s a small underground lot about a block away that takes a coin, which is a decent compromise. The only downside? The Wi‑Fi speed can be spotty during peak hours, but for a quick email check, it’s fine.
If you’re in the mood to explore, the apartment’s proximity to Chugureti’s main street is a real plus. A quick walk and you’re in the heart of the neighborhood, where you can grab a cup of strong Georgian coffee at a small café that’s been around since the Soviet era—its owner, a silver‑haired old man, knows everyone’s order before you even speak. Nearby, the old fortress of Mtatsminda Park is a short bus ride away, and the cathedral of Sioni is just a 15‑minute stroll, offering a quiet escape from the city’s buzz. I recommend visiting early in the morning for the best light and fewer crowds; the city feels almost otherworldly before the sun climbs high. For those who love food, the local market on Rustaveli Avenue is only a 10‑minute walk, where you can pick up fresh cheese, honey, and maybe some dried mushrooms if you’re feeling adventurous. If you’re traveling with a group or just want a more communal vibe, the building’s shared lounge area is perfect for meeting other travelers or simply people‑watching. The only thing I’d tweak is the lack of a dedicated laundry service—though there’s a local laundromat a few blocks away that’s surprisingly efficient. All in all, staying at HB apartments Aghmashenebeli felt like having a home base in the heart of Tbilisi, with all the comforts and quirks you’d expect from a city that’s constantly evolving but never forgets its roots.
Hotels in Tbilisi offer visitors the opportunity to stay in the heart of this Caucasian gem, with easy access to museums, thermal baths, and traditional restaurants.

Reviews of HB apartments Aghmashenebeli
Nice little apartment for two, with outside spaces. – Julian from United Kingdom – January 6, 2025 (7/10)
Comfy split-level apartment with a balcony on each level, situated in a convenient location inside a quiet gated area on Davit Aghmashenebeli Avenue. The kitchen area has a good oven and most things you’ll need for cooking. It’s cosy for two, with a nice restaurant next door which plays peaceful jazz music. We were there in December and the apartment was comfortably warm.
What could be improved: Payment of the deposit was a little confusing which caused some initial uncertainty, but it all worked out fine on the day of arrival so i can certainly vouch for the management companies honesty and reliability with regard to our booking.Disappointed – Majdy from Bahrain – August 31, 2025 (1/10)
