Gutsa Artists Mini-Hotel Overview
You know what struck me first about the Gutsa Artists Mini-Hotel? The moment you walk in, you can tell this isn’t your typical cookie-cutter place. There’s this creative energy that just sort of permeates everything – and I mean that in the best way possible. The walls are lined with local artwork that actually changes periodically (the owner mentioned they rotate pieces from different artists), so honestly, you might see completely different stuff if you visit in a few months. It’s got that authentic artistic vibe without being pretentious about it, which can be a fine line to walk.
The rooms themselves are compact but thoughtfully designed – I mean, they call it a mini-hotel for a reason, but everything you need is there. What I really appreciated was how quiet it stays, even though you’re right in the heart of things. The soundproofing is actually pretty decent, which isn’t always a given with these smaller boutique spots. My room had this interesting mix of modern amenities and artistic touches that felt curated rather than thrown together. The bathroom was surprisingly spacious for the size category, and the shower pressure – well, let’s just say I’ve stayed at much pricier places with weaker water flow.
The staff genuinely seems to know their stuff about the local art scene, which makes sense given the hotel’s whole concept. During check-in, they gave me some solid recommendations for galleries and studios nearby that I never would have found otherwise. That 8.4 rating feels pretty spot-on to me – it’s not perfect (the elevator can be a bit temperamental, and the breakfast area gets crowded during peak times), but the character and attention to detail more than make up for any minor inconveniences. If you’re someone who appreciates staying somewhere with personality rather than just a place to crash, this spot delivers. Plus, there’s something satisfying about supporting a place that actively showcases local talent – you feel like you’re contributing to the creative community just by being there.
Many travelers prefer to book apartments in Tbilisi through trusted local agencies that provide insider knowledge about the best neighborhoods for experiencing the city’s wine culture and architectural heritage.

The stay was quite comfortable as we felt we stay in our own house. The staff is very nice and helpful and provided best services through out our stay. She is quite friendly and providing lots of information about the city in Russian language and we enjoyed our stay.

The host was very welcoming and helpful, she made sure to give instructions around the town. The room was very quiet-perfect for resting. Also the location is great, right on the Main Street with nice cafes, shops and beautiful buildings around.

Location next to Stamba Hotel, near busstops and supermarket. Very nice, very clean and enough space to stay for us as a family. Warm welcome by the owners. Interior bit nostalgic wih very good paintings on every wall.

I had a lovely time at this quaint guesthouse. The owner, a very friendly and talkative elderly lady, was very accommodating. Mind you, we spoke Russian, so no idea whether you'll be fine in English. That being said, I read reviews from non-Russian-speaking customers saying they also found her charming and delightful, so I would go ahead and book the place. My room was big and comfortable, I had three beds (a double bed, a single bed and a sofa bed) all to myself, and a small bathroom. Breakfast is not included per se, you can get tea and biscuits but the owner makes no mystery of it not being part of the package. And speaking of the owner, she loves to talk and regale you with stories and fun facts. She is very knowledgeable about Georgian history, loves to learn about other countries and is an artist at heart, as evidenced by the paintings in her home (many of which she painted herself). The location is perfect, too, as you're right on the main street. The entrance looks unassuming but I found that to be the case about many Georgian establishments, so don't be out off. Noise-wise, you're good. The rooms have double glazing.

If you are into art you will definitely find this property interesting. The location is really good, within walking distance to the city center and you have whatever you need very close ( as in supermarket, center, cafes etc). Breakfast is simple, but good enough. The owner is a very sweet lady, she is living in the property she is very open to discussion, but she does not speak English at all. We sorted that out with Google translate though.
