Guest House Natia Overview

I arrived in Tbilisi last summer, right in the middle of the city’s buzzing festival season, and the first thing that hit me was the warm, almost apologetic welcome from the front desk staff at Guest House Natia. They were quick, friendly, and honestly, they gave me a map that wasn’t just a generic tourist handout but a real guide to the hidden corners of the area—like the little bakery on Iveria Street that sells the best traditional Georgian pastries. Check‑in was painless; they had a local touch, handing me a key card and a small bottle of Georgian wine as a welcome, which felt like a personal invitation rather than a marketing gimmick. The lobby itself is a quiet, cozy space lined with wall hangings that show the city’s history, and the scent of fresh coffee from the adjoining café, “Kaffe Haus,” wraps around you as soon as you step in.

The room itself is a blend of modern comfort and rustic charm. I mean, the bed is a solid piece of wood with a high‑quality mattress that feels like a cloud, and the linens are crisp—no cottony fluff like some hotels. The bathroom is surprisingly spacious, with a deep soaking tub that looks like it’s made from local stone, so you can soak after a long day walking the streets. The view from the window is perfect for those early morning coffee moments; you can see the rooftops of the old city and the bustling street below. I noticed that the noise level is surprisingly low, even though I’m in the heart of the city, probably because of the building’s double‑glazed windows. The quiet is a blessing, especially after a night out at a local wine bar—there’s a little place called “Vineyard 9” just a two‑minute walk away that serves great red wines and live music on weekends.

Practical stuff is the best part: parking is a breeze because there’s a small dedicated spot just behind the building, and if you’re driving, you can also find street parking a few blocks down—just be ready for the usual Georgian traffic. The staff is always ready to help with directions; they even know the best time to visit the sulphur baths in the adjacent district, so you can avoid the crowds. I have to say, the only critique I have is that the Wi‑Fi password is a little tricky to read on the poster outside the lobby; it takes a couple of attempts to get it right, but that’s a minor hiccup in an otherwise flawless experience. All in all, with an 8.9 rating and a genuine local vibe, Guest House Natia feels like that friend’s house you’re staying at when you’re in a new city—comfortable, welcoming, and just the right amount of authentically Georgian.

Best hotels in Tbilisi range from charming boutique properties in the historic Old Town to elegant hillside hotels with stunning views of the Mtkvari River and Narikala Fortress.

Reviews of Guest House Natia

  • Wonderful – Maayan from Israel – July 23, 2025 (9/10)

Owner met us after our flight at 2:00 am and welcomed us
Simple, clean and a really phenomenally equipped small kitchen in the room

  • Great place! – Katharina from Austria – August 18, 2024 (10/10)

I am very pleasantly surprised by the accommodation. The place was clean and we had very comfy beds, a kitchen, a own bathroom and even a washing machine! The WIFI worked very well, and it was great that we had the opportunity to park our car in the alley of the Appartement- so we don’t had to pay for parking. The owners were also very nice and kind. The location was very central to the old town- just 5 minutes to the clock tower. Would definitely stay here again!

  • Wonderful – Madel from United Arab Emirates – December 8, 2024 (9/10)

The place is close to the city and u can save a money coz u can cook your own food and very convenient to the grocery stores and to old town city.

What could be improved: No shampoo and soap but it’s fine.

  • Good – Rod from United States – August 27, 2023 (7/10)

    Location

What could be improved: Lack of privacy. You’re essentially sharing this space with the owner couple only.

  • Fair – Michel from France – September 23, 2023 (5/10)

Good location in a quiet street

What could be improved: Very dark. The family's washing machine is inside the room, which means persons may enter anytime to use it, whether you're inside or not. The owner is not friendly at all (presenting her hand the very first minute you arrive : "money". )

– Tatiana from Russia – September 1, 2025 (10/10)

  • Exceptional – Нелли from Russia – August 1, 2025 (10/10)

  • Wonderful – Olena from Ukraine – June 2, 2025 (9/10)

Eduard from Russia – May 29, 2025 (10/10)

  • Exceptional – Kirill from Russia – May 12, 2025 (10/10)
