GTNL Aparthotel Overview
When I first stepped out of the metro on the 1 impasse, I was immediately hit by the bustling rhythm of Tbilisi – the perfume of roasted coffee beans drifting from the corner café, the distant hum of traffic, and the soft chatter of locals in their native Georgian. The GTNL Aparthotel sits on 8 Khandzteli Street, a stone’s throw from the historic Old Town square, and honestly, the moment I opened the door, I felt a mix of excitement and relief. Check‑in was a breeze: the reception desk was on the ground floor, and the staff greeted me with a warm, “Good evening, welcome to Tbilisi!” – no long lines, no waiting, just a quick chat, a signed keycard, and a small welcome gift of locally roasted nuts that gave me a taste of something truly Georgian before I even unpacked.
The apartment itself is a charming 1‑bedroom unit that feels more like a home than a hotel room. The living area is cozy, with a comfortable sofa that folds into a bed, and a small kitchenette stocked with all the essentials – a coffee maker, a set of knives, and even a portable spice rack featuring saffron, coriander, and the unmistakable flavor of Georgian fenugreek. I spent a quiet evening on the balcony, watching the city lights flicker on, and the skyline was punctuated by the silhouette of the Holy Trinity Cathedral. The only noise during the night was the occasional distant traffic and a faint lullaby from a street musician. If you’re a light sleeper, you’ll be happy to know that the apartment’s windows are double‑glazed, and the floor plan keeps the living area away from the street. Parking is free on the street, but you’ll need to find a spot yourself – a quick detour to a nearby parking garage is a small price to pay for the convenience of having a secure space.
When I was exploring the neighborhood, I found myself strolling down Rustaveli Avenue, the main thoroughfare, where the old Soviet architecture gives way to trendy cafés and art galleries. A short walk from the hotel, the iconic Tbilisi Cathedral is a must‑visit, and its dome glows golden in the early evening. If you’re traveling during the summer months, the streets can get crowded, especially near the Old Town, but the hotel’s location keeps you close to quieter lanes like Khandzteli Street, where you can hear the gentle gurgle of the Mtkvari River. The only downside I noticed was the Wi‑Fi speed – it’s decent for browsing, but if you need a stable connection for work, you might want to use the in‑house coffee shop’s hotspot. Still, the apartment’s high‑speed connection was reliable, and the cozy, well‑ventilated rooms made for a comfortable stay.
Overall, GTNL Aparthotel offers a genuine, hassle‑free experience that feels like an insider’s welcome to Tbilisi. The blend of modern amenities, local touches, and a prime spot near the city’s cultural hubs makes it an excellent choice for travelers who want to immerse

Great value for money and perfect location – Sarah from Ireland – May 26, 2025 (9/10)
Booked for one night before we left Tbilisi. Great location, clean apartment and perfect for a large group. Such good value for money. We were really happy with our stay.
What could be improved: The air conditioning in the upstairs rooms was poor meaning it was very hot during the night.Value for money – Gyorgy from Greece – February 2, 2025 (10/10)
After lots of research about accommodations found this place as wanted something close to the meeting points of booked tours. The price was low so I had no high expectations, but the property and host way exceeded my expectations. The place is quiet and about 10 minutes walk to everything.

What could be improved: NothingCheap accommodation close to centre – Annabel from Australia – May 28, 2024 (8/10)
Good sized apartment very close the centre and a very good price. Separate bedroom with a door that can be closed and keeps out the sounds/noise from outside so can sleep well. Good shower/bathroom and kitchen. Host was helpful and usually available on WhatsApp.
What could be improved: Lounge and kitchen area not sound proof so could hear next door apartment and any outside noise when people were talking etc. Mattresses are very old and should be changed. Was cold a few nights I was there but host was unable to turn on central heating when requested. Had to use extra blanket to keep warm when sleeping.Great – Tomer from Israel – February 20, 2024 (10/10)
Everything was clean, Very good placement and amazing host
What could be improved: The place is a little bit hidden so you should call the owner so she can help you find it.Exceptional – Иванова from Russia – November 18, 2023 (10/10)
