Grand GMP Overview
I’ll be honest – when I first heard the name Grand GMP, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect. It’s one of those hotels that doesn’t immediately scream its location or theme, you know? But after spending a few nights there, I get it now. The “grand” part actually fits, though not in that stuffy, intimidating way some four-star places can feel.
What really struck me right away was how the staff seemed to genuinely care about getting things right. Check-in was smooth – none of that awkward hovering while they fumble with the computer system. The lobby has this warm, lived-in elegance that feels more like a well-appointed living room than a hotel reception area. You know what I mean? Those leather chairs that actually look comfortable enough to sink into with a book, not just pose in for Instagram photos. The lighting hits just right in the evenings too, creating this golden hour vibe that somehow lasts well into the night.
The rooms themselves are thoughtfully designed – and I don’t just mean the thread count on the sheets (though honestly, they’re pretty great). It’s the little things that show someone actually stayed in these rooms before deciding they were guest-ready. The bedside outlets are positioned where you’d actually want to charge your phone, there’s proper counter space in the bathroom for all your toiletries, and the blackout curtains… well, they actually black out the room. I mean, you can sleep until noon if you want to, which is sometimes exactly what vacation calls for. The soundproofing is solid too – I never got woken up by hallway conversations or elevator dings, which has definitely happened to me at other places in this price range. One tiny thing though – the shower pressure could be a touch stronger, but that’s me being picky. The rainfall showerhead makes up for it with that spa-like feeling.
What really sets this place apart is the attention to atmosphere. The common areas have this relaxed energy where business travelers and leisure guests seem equally at home. I spent quite a bit of time in their lounge area, which has these oversized windows that let in amazing natural light during the day. The restaurant attached to the hotel serves food that’s actually worth ordering – not just “hotel food” that you settle for when you’re too tired to venture out. Their breakfast spread is particularly impressive, with options that go beyond the standard continental fare.
The service throughout my stay felt personal without being intrusive. Housekeeping was thorough but respectful of the “do not disturb” sign, and the front desk staff remembered my name by the second day. It’s that kind of place where they seem to hire people who actually enjoy hospitality work, which makes such a difference in the overall experience. With an 8.8 rating, you’re looking at a hotel that consistently delivers on its promises – not perfect, but genuinely good at what it does, and honestly, that’s exactly what you want when you’re trying to enjoy your time away from home.
Tbilisi hotels provide guests with comfortable accommodations in Georgia’s cultural capital, known for its legendary wine culture and unique architectural blend.

The location was good – I chose it because it was close to my destination points in Tbilisi. So it's a lovely place in a quiet part of the street which is important to me but close to the supermarket

It was a beautiful, quiet, wonderful and very clean place. Very suitable for families. Katie, the hotel owner, is very friendly and nice. Nino cares a lot about the guests as her family. Do not leave anything missing when it comes to eating, even bringing food at late times. I felt like I was at home, not a hotel.

Kathy has booked for us the best restaurant in Tbilisi Ethnographer, with wonderful food, wine, Georgian live sings and music. She helped with transfers and excellent trip to Mtsheta, Uplistsihe and Borjomi. It is good place to stay 🙂Audiokatie08 from Poland (9/10)

We stayed in a nice family studio adjacent to the main hotel building. It has everything you need including a big kitchen and even a washing machine. The host was really friendly. We had to leave early before the breakfast time, but she served the breakfast specially for us.
