The Old Town is maybe a 10-minute walk downhill, and getting to Rustaveli Avenue takes about the same time. What really sold me though was how easy it is to explore the real Tbilisi from here. There’s this amazing local bakery just around the corner that most visitors never find, and the sulfur baths are close enough that you can actually smell that distinctive eggy scent on certain days (in a good way, I promise).

The Room Experience

My room was honestly bigger than I expected — Georgian hotels can be hit or miss with space, but giorgi gets it right. The design feels authentically local without being kitschy, with these beautiful wooden details and textiles that actually look like they belong here. The bathroom was spotless, and I mean spotless, which isn’t always a given in this part of the world. What impressed me most was the attention to small details — proper blackout curtains, outlets where you actually need them, and a mini-fridge that doesn’t sound like a jet engine.

Service That Actually Cares

The staff here genuinely knows their city, which makes such a difference when you’re trying to figure out where to eat or what to see. They gave me directions to this incredible wine bar that I never would have found on my own, and when I mentioned I was interested in Georgian cooking, they connected me with a local family that does private dinners. It’s that kind of personal touch that you remember long after you’ve checked out. The front desk folks speak excellent English too, but they’re patient if you want to try your hand at a few Georgian phrases.

Look, giorgi isn’t going to wow you with a fancy spa or multiple restaurants — it’s not that kind of place. What it does is give you a genuine taste of Tbilisi life while keeping you comfortable and well-located.   It is homestay in a normal apartmentbuilding. Do not expect any signs so good to call the owner to find the right door. Great facility, good location. Very friendly owner. (Uses google translate). All very safe

  Спасибо огромное Гиорги за гостеприимство! Нам очень понравился отель, идеальная чистота, уютные номера, на общей кухне есть всё необходимое для жизни. Очень выручил доступный для гостей принтер – мы приезжали в консульство, и не пришлось бегать по городу в поисках копицентра, сделали всё в отеле! Желаю удачи и процветания!
