EPIGRAPH Design Kosher Hotel Overview

I stayed at EPIGRAPH Design Kosher Hotel on 38a Revaz Tabukashvili Street, in Tbilisi. The moment you step onto the cobblestones, you can already feel the city’s pulse – a blend of old-world charm and the electric buzz of modern life. The building itself is a sleek, contemporary block that contrasts nicely with the historic architecture that surrounds it. I remember the first thing that struck me was the lobby’s open, airy feel, with natural light pouring in from a frosted glass wall. It’s a little bit like walking into an art gallery, but you’re also being handed a key and a warm welcome.

Check‑in was surprisingly smooth – the staff greeted me with a friendly smile and a quick explanation of the hotel’s kosher policies, which is a huge plus for travelers who keep a kosher diet. They were quick to point out the elevator, which takes you straight to the 5th floor where my room is. The room itself is a neat, minimalist space with a big, comfortable bed that practically invites you to collapse into it after a long day. The bathroom is spotless, and the shower has that invigorating, high‑pressure spray I’ve come to love. I did notice that the windows face east, so if you’re a morning person, you’ll get a gentle sunrise right in your room, but if you’re a night owl, the street lights will give you the perfect ambient glow.

The real charm of this place is how it sits in the heart of Mtatsminda, just a stone’s throw from the funicular that drops you down to the Old Town. I took advantage of that and hopped on the tram in the early afternoon to explore the bustling Merkantsaveli Street – the local market is a sensory overload with the scent of fresh khinkali and roasted chestnuts. The hotel’s location means you’ll hear the city’s music and chatter even when you’re inside, but the walls are surprisingly sound‑proof; I didn’t hear the evening traffic outside. Parking is a bit of a hassle – the nearest street parking is a bit far, but there’s a paid lot about 200 meters away that’s worth the walk. I also found the quiet hours between 10 pm and 6 am to be perfect for a good night’s sleep, even though the area is a bit lively during festival season. If you’re traveling during the peak months of June and July, expect the streets to be bustling, but the hotel’s air‑conditioning keeps things comfortable. Overall, EPIGRAPH Design Kosher Hotel felt like a modern oasis nestled in a historic neighborhood, and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking to experience Tbilisi’s energy without sacrificing comfort.

The hotel is in a very good location! We enjoyed to stay there. Very clean and pleasant personel. We had an excellent experience in this lovely hotel

  • Exceptional – Anastasia from Netherlands – October 6, 2024 (10/10)

The hotel has rooms of good size, good beds and everything was clean. The room has nice isolation so there was no noise coming from the outside. The staff is very helpful – they helped us to temporarily park the car while we were unloading and then brought all our luggage to the room.
The breakfast has a good variety of food.

What could be improved: If you need long term parking, it's probably better to check in advance as the hotel doesn't have a lot of parking space.
If you stay at the hotel for more than 3 days, the breakfast might be boring for you, as they repeat the same stuff.

  • Very wonderful cleaning ladies and professional receptionists – Candy from Japan – September 27, 2024 (10/10)

The best place for business visitors. In front of the police station, not too touristic but close to main street and supermarket.
Reliable and capable staffs. The receptionists, cleaning staffs are all nice and professional.

I will definitely visit here again. This is my third time to stay I am happy to see that the same cleaning lady has been kept working since last summer. Working environment looks good too. I hope to see the same staffs last year.

What could be improved: Nothing, every thing was fine.

Cold at the morning in September.
I am weak at cold temperature, so it is a pity that I cannot change the air conditioner

  • Perfect stay in Georgia – Sofia from Greece – September 15, 2024 (10/10)

Everything was perfect – clean and comfortable rooms and bed, super friendly and helpful personnel, in the heart of the city. Bonus points for helping us with parking the car and offering us water for the way to the airport, everything was great thank you !

  • Safe, confortable and capable staff who speaks fluent English, perfect for business trip customers – Candy from Japan – September 11, 2024 (10/10)

Personally this hotel is perfect. I evacuated from other hotel whose evaluation is higher than 9, but that hotel was disgusting for me. I felt so relaxed and refresh stress of other frustrated hotel nearby.

    Great points are
The staffs are kind and they speak good English. At least there is one person who can speak good English at the reception
The reception is open for 24 hours, that is true, thanks!! ( not surprisingly, but there are a lot of hotel that nobody is at the reception)
The room is quiet, silent, and clean enough.
the cable channel is available, we can watch not only Georgian domestic channel, we can see Russian broadcasting, euronews in English, DW in English, FR24 in French, and more than 30 channels.
    Wifi is stable

This hotel match the international standard of 4 star hotel.
Not on the Main Street, but I prefer this silent circumstances.

Small supermarket is just nearby, 30 seconds from the hotel.

What could be improved: No window, so we do not know when sun rises and when night comes, but not a big problem.

  • The rooms were functional. We had taken 3 and all had a different layout. The place has a calm vibe. – Najia from Malaysia – September 11, 2024 (8/10)

It was value for money. Clean, quiet, comfortable and a reasonable selection for breakfast.

What could be improved: A Bidet in every toilet and a window in every room.

  • I’d recommend. – Begai from Philippines – September 8, 2024 (10/10)

It’s new. Very well-maintained. Staff were friendly and even offered us to open our bottled wine since we don’t have a wine opener. Near police station so very safe. Near a small grocery where you can buy food. They have an open cabinet type to arrange your clothes which I really liked. They replenish our water and coffee everyday.
