He handed me a key card with a quick rundown of the elevator quirks (you’ll notice that the first floor is a bit cramped, but everything above is spacious), and a map that actually highlighted the best cafés on the street.

And speaking of the airport, the hotel’s shuttle runs every 30 minutes, but honestly, the metro from the airport to Ilia Chavchavadze Avenue is almost as quick and way cheaper—just a few stops and you’re there.

The apartment itself is a cozy, airy space. Floor 8 means you get a bit of a breeze, and the window frames are wide, letting in that sweet Tbilisian sunset. The kitchenette is well stocked—think local cheeses, a small bottle of red wine, even a pot of tea that smells like chamomile and mint. The bedding is comfortable, the sheets rough enough that you feel the texture even when you’re halfway through your day. One thing I noticed: the elevator is a bit slow, so be ready to wait a minute or two during peak hours—especially in the summer when the city’s on fire and everyone’s out and about. But that’s just part of the charm, right? The hotel’s location is perfect for exploring the Old Town, the sulfur baths, and Rike Park—all within a 15‑minute walk. I spent a lazy Sunday afternoon sipping a latte at a café on Ilia Chavchavadze Avenue, watching the locals play chess on the bench, and felt like I had the city all to myself. If you’re planning a trip, the Downtown Residence offers a blend of comfort, convenience, and a little slice of everyday Tbilisi life that’s hard to find elsewhere.

  La décoration et les équipements de la cuisine et de la salle de bains.
  L'emplacement au-dessus d'1 mall avec 2 supermarchés.
  La climatisatuon super efficace et le calme la nuit.
  La très bonne communication avec le propriétaire et son amabilité.
  L'entrée de l'immeuble n'est pas sur le boulevard mais il faut passer dans la galerie du Carrefour et c'est tout de suite à gauche.
  
  What could be improved: Le manque de place de parking ( nous avions loué une voiture).
  Nous avons trouvé un parking ( ( Vake)à 5 mn à pieds 24h/24. 2 Gel de 22 h00 à 9h00/ heure et 3 Gel de 9h00 à 22h00/heure.
  Il y a bien des places en bas de l'immeuble mais jamais disponibles. Il faut juste le savoir avec 1 voiture.
