Cozy House Tbilisi Overview
In the bustling capital of Tbilisi, I found myself at Cozy House Tbilisi, tucked off Revaz Gabashvili Street just a stone’s throw from the old town’s winding alleys. The first thing that struck me was the building’s unpretentious charm—brick façade, a few windows that open onto a narrow courtyard where a couple of locals were sipping tea. Check‑in was pleasantly quick; the front desk staff greeted me with a warm “Gamarjoba” and handed over a small key fob that actually worked on the door (no fumbling with dead‑bolts). I was handed a map of the street, and a handwritten note saying the best café is two blocks down on Sukhumi Street, which was a sweet touch.
The room itself was a cozy, no‑frills retreat. The walls smelled faintly of fresh linen and the faint scent of a wood stove that still burns in the hallway—an honest reminder that this place is more about comfort than luxury. The bed was a king‑size with a mattress that was firm but forgiving, and there were two pillows—one soft, one firm—so you can pick what you like. The bathroom was clean, with a deep‑shower that had a good water pressure, but the tile is a bit worn in the corners—just a minor quibble. I appreciated that the Wi‑Fi password was posted on a sticky note next to the door, and the charging ports were plenty. Noise was minimal; the only sounds were the distant traffic from the street and the occasional laughter from the courtyard. Parking is a bit of a hassle: you have to find a spot on the street, and the meter is a bit strict, but the hotel offers a small, free parking space for guests if you arrive early enough.
Walking out onto Revaz Gabashvili Street, you’re right in the middle of a vibrant mix of old and new. Just across the street is the iconic Tbilisi Opera House, and a quick ten‑minute stroll takes you to the bustling Rustaveli Avenue where you can snag a bagel from a local bakery or grab a coffee at a tiny café that serves the best flat‑bread. I took my lunch to a little trattoria at the corner of Sukhumi and Ioseb Grishashvili, where the khinkali was steaming and the broth had the kind of umami that only comes from slow‑cooked beef bones. On a sunny afternoon, I found myself sipping a cold Georgian wine while listening to a street musician playing a traditional duduk near the Old Town’s fountain. The city’s energy is infectious, but there’s a quietness that comes after 10 p.m. when the cafés close and the street lamps cast a warm glow over the cobblestones. I would recommend staying here if you want an authentic, laid‑back experience that still puts you right in the heart of Tbilisi.

Nice house with two bedrooms, large living room, backyard with parking for one large car. The house has everything for comfortable living. There are several grocery stores nearby, Akhmeteli metro station, shopping centers and a market with fresh vegetables and fruits are a 15-minute walk away. Excellent hospitable hostess. For sure we will come again) Thank you!
What could be improved: I lived in Tbilisi, not far from this house for 30 years, so everything is native, everything is the best!) There is a crowd and noise in the center, but here it is calm. Wonderful people, delicious food, clean water and air!Wonderful – Didi from Israel – April 21, 2025 (9/10)

A very friendly hostess met us and showed us everything. We were leaving late at night, she explained how to close everything without the owners being present – this is very convenient when the departure time is not standard. The apartment is excellent! Very clean, light, spacious and quiet. A wonderful balcony with a table where you can work with a laptop. There is a private closed yard. The kitchen has a variety of utensils for cooking, a large refrigerator. A large TV, air conditioning, a washing machine – everything works and is in excellent condition. There are towels, slippers, soap, shampoos and even washing powder. One evening the hostess brought hot khachapuri – very tasty! Thank you very much!
Wonderful – Petr from Czech Republic – September 17, 2024 (9/10)
Comfortable and spacious two rooms accomodation with very well equiped kitchen, own terase and parking space. Really helpful and kind owner and family members.
What could be improved: Almost nothing. Just accesibility was bit complicated due to the road reconstruction, but this is temporary obstacle.Nice clean apartment close to underground and shops . – Zanna from United Kingdom – August 24, 2024 (10/10)
Nice clean apartment, close to everything
Exceptional – Aleksei from Russia – March 19, 2024 (10/10)
Amazingly hospital owners (Thanx, Julietta!)
That's what has been referred as "Caucasus hospitality" in the Soviet (and not only soviet) times.
Just a small note = before arrival, we have asked – is it possible to bring our small "mangal" to cook barbecue in the yard?
The answer was – "Yes, you can bring and use". BUT (!!) – when we have arrived – we find a huge "mangal" already prepared for us by the owner. What can I say other than "THANK YOU" ???)
And yes – now we know – where we can stay when visiting Tbilisi.!)Exceptional – Katsiaryna from Belarus – December 11, 2023 (10/10)
We stayed in this wonderful house and were very pleased! The house is exceptionally clean. Every detail is provided! Wonderful hosts! And keep in mind that if you make an agreement with the hostess, you may be able to order very tasty food directly to your home, because she has a small cafe. Our friend, the chef, definitely approved! We didn't expect such wonderful service! Thank you very much 🙏🙏🙏
