Inside, the lobby is surprisingly airy – a big, bright space with a couple of mismatched armchairs and a wall mural of the Mtkvarze River that makes you feel like you’re in a modern Georgian gallery. The reception desk is staffed by a woman who, honestly, knows everyone in the neighborhood. She greeted me with a warm smile and a quick lesson on the best way to grab a cheap, yet delicious, khinkali from the stall on the corner of Tbilisi Street (you know, the one that’s a block over from the hotel). Check‑in was smooth; she handed me a key that sounded like a tiny, metallic bell, and told me the Wi‑Fi password was “Tbilisi2024” – a sweet little nod to the city’s name that felt personal.

The room is a little on the low‑budget side, but it’s comfortably furnished, and the bed is surprisingly plush – the kind that makes you question whether you’re sleeping on a mattress or a cloud. The view from the window is a mix of the old stone facades of the neighborhood and the modern glass towers that have sprung up in the last decade. I could hear the distant hum of traffic, but the walls are thick enough that the noise is more of a background murmur than a constant buzz. The bathroom is bright and functional; the shower has a surprisingly high‑pressure stream that you know is worth a full spin. I did notice that the Wi‑Fi is spotty at times – a common issue in the older buildings of Chugureti – so I brought my own portable hotspot for the evenings when I needed to stream a documentary about Georgian wine.

If you’re looking to explore the city, the hotel’s location is pretty spot-on. You can hop on the 12 bus or catch a short walk to the bustling Rustaveli Avenue where you’ll find a mix of boutiques, cafés, and the iconic Sioni Cathedral that’s a must‑see for its frescoes. For a more relaxed vibe, the nearby Tbilisi Botanical Garden is a quiet oasis that’s perfect for a stroll in the afternoon. Parking can be a bit of a hunt – there’s a small paid lot right next to the building, but it fills up quickly on weekends. I parked on the street for a few nights, and the city’s cicadas and the scent of freshly baked bread from the corner bakery kept me company. Overall, Cozy Home is a solid, no‑frills spot that feels like a homebase in a city that’s constantly unfolding. If you’re up for a bit of local flavor and a comfortable stay without the feel of a tourist trap, this place checks all the boxes.

  Stunning location! This house offers everything you need, including all kitchen necessities and an iron, for the great price. We enjoyed our time here very much. The host is amazing! She was very kind, helpful, and always in touch.
  
  What could be improved: The house is really great for group of four people, however, there was not much furniture in the upper room to place our belongings. Additionally, it would be great if the shower cabin had a door or at least a curtain – otherwise there is too much water on the floor.

  The apartment was super comfortable. Ekaterine is a commendable host. I've lived in Georgia for about 4 years and have been to various different cities. She was probably the best host I've had till date, well spoken, helpful and great at what she's doing. She has amazing taste and it's reflected in everything at the apartment. The location was great, all amenities provided exceeded expectations. The listing didn't include WiFi when I was booking which was a concern for me beforehand. But we were given the password right from the start and it worked without any flaws throughout our stay. Location is great too. It's totally worth every penny and more. Definitely worth recommending. I would easily consider coming back if I stay in Tbilisi again.
  
  What could be improved: I read the reviews about the street being noisy, it's true but wasn't a big problem for me (probably because I slept on the first floor). The bathroom height is a little short but wasn't an issue for me. The building itself is a little old hence scary. I cannot think of any other even slightly negative thing even though I'm quite particular with my reviews/ratings.
