cozy and center Overview

I stumbled into Tbilisi on a breezy Thursday afternoon, the kind of day that feels like the city is breathing a sigh of relief after a summer heatwave. The hotel sits on 19 Tsinamdzgvrishvili Street in the heart of Chugureti, a neighborhood that’s a blend of old Soviet blocks and quirky new cafés. As soon as I walked in, the lobby welcomed me with the scent of roasted coffee beans and a faint hum of Georgian folk music from the corner bar. The check‑in desk was a small, friendly affair—staff asked me a few questions, scanned my ID, and handed me a key card with a polite, “Welcome to cozy and center.” They did have a small queue because of the early‑morning rush, but the staff were patient and the waiting area had a few magazines and a kettle for tea, so it didn’t feel like a chore.

The parking situation is actually pretty straightforward. There’s a paid garage right across the street, but if you’re willing to walk a block, you can find free street parking on the quieter side of the block—just be mindful of the evening rush. Noise-wise, the street is lively after dusk—street performers, the chatter of locals, the occasional clink of glasses from nearby cafés—but by 3 a.m., it’s surprisingly hushed, and the hotel’s thick windows keep the city’s nighttime hum at a manageable level. The room itself was a cozy, 2‑story loft with a king bed that was as soft as a cloud, a small balcony that offered a view of the cobblestone street (you can see the old church spire in the distance), and a bathroom that was a bit tight but impeccably clean. The shower had a decent water pressure, and the linens were fluffy—like a hug after a long day of walking.

Breakfast was a highlight—an open‑air terrace overlooking the street, with a spread of fresh Georgian pastries, local cheeses, and a selection of teas that smelled like saffron and cardamom. I tried the khachapuri and honestly, it was a revelation—cheese that oozed out with every bite, the dough still warm, and the buttered edges crisp. After breakfast, I walked a few blocks to the Tbilisi Opera and Ballet Theatre; the architecture was stunning, and the performers that night were top-notch. The hotel’s staff even suggested a few nearby restaurants—one with a rooftop view of the Old Town and another that serves a killer khinkali. I ended the day with a glass of local red wine at a small bar

To book a hotel in Tbilisi during major Georgian celebrations, travelers need early planning as this ancient Silk Road capital draws visitors eager to experience its sulfur baths and traditional hospitality.

Reviews of cozy and center

  • Exceptional – Oleg from Kazakhstan – October 16, 2024 (10/10)

The hostess is an incredibly hospitable and kind person, it was very nice to spend a whole week as a guest! The apartment is spacious, very clean, there is absolutely everything for a comfortable stay + excellent location.

  • Wonderful – Anja from Germany – August 8, 2024 (9/10)

Clean, comfy beds, walking distance to center. We used the kitchen and found everything we needed. The woman that greeted us was very friendly and nice.

What could be improved: Parking in the whole street is paid which is ok, but for non-Georgians would be good to get a heads up how to purchase parking tickets.

  • Exceptional – Tato from Georgia – April 10, 2024 (10/10)

Everything was great. The appartment is located in the city center. You can walk at every touristic places. It is realy cozy and have everything for long stay, there is comfortable bed and also a table for work. There are many restaurants, cafes, pharmacies and grocery shops such as Carrefour. I really recommend it.

  • Exceptional – Marika from Georgia – April 7, 2024 (10/10)

The apartment exceeded all expectations. The lady who owns the apartment welcomed us very warmly and gave us many surprises. The apartment was very cozy warm and lovely. The apartment has all the necessary things you might need. The view from the apartment is on a beautiful yard, where there are very beautiful flowers. The most impressive thing in the yard is the tree that bears giant pomegranates :). As for the location of the apartment, it is located in the tourist center of the city. You can walk to all the tourist attractions. If you still decide to go further, there is also a metro station here. Finally, I would like to thank you for the warm welcome and the best hospitality in the best apartment. ❤️

  • Exceptional – Aleksandr from Russia – December 3, 2023 (10/10)

Very very cozy place. Feels like home. Thank you!

  • Nice apartment but service to improve – Christopher from Switzerland – August 17, 2023 (8/10)

Nice big apartment, cosy, has kitchen, balcony, washing machine, good bed. I liked it a lot.

What could be improved: I never met the owner. The neighbor gave me the key, and she has access to the apartment where you can't lock the door. On the day of checkout, she entered my apartment without warning: she was suddenly there. She asked me to leave because she had to go somewhere, even though we had agreed about the checkout time with the owner. She then told me to be faster to get out, always coming back into my room. Wasn't very respectful and professional. Also they didn't let me leave my bag somehwere safe for the afternoon which was a bummer and quite annoying.

  • A nice place in Old Tbilisi – Alexey from Russia – July 31, 2023 (10/10)

I spent a delightful week at this apartment and it was a wonderful experience. The stylish decor and tasteful decorations truly added to the charm of the place. Notably, the apartment has a comfortable table, perfect for working with my laptop, and the reliable wifi connection was a great convenience.

Though the kitchenette was compact, I found it to be well-equipped with all the necessary items for my cooking. The location of the apartment in the historic Old Tbilisi district was a significant highlight. Exploring the streets and admiring the beautiful buildings was a truly enjoyable experience.

I would highly recommend the place to anyone seeking a comfortable and captivating stay in Tbilisi.

What could be improved: I just cannot add anything here.

  • What a great experience – Sven from Germany – May 24, 2023 (10/10)

Very cute and authentic place. Loved the backyard. You feel like you're a local. All neighbours where very friendly. The little terrace was so nice to sit on and relax. Always had a good feel. Bed very comfy. Owner is such a nice person. Made me feel very welcome. Everything you need is just around the corner. Thank you so much for this authentic experience.

    What could be improved: Nothing

  • Wonderful! – Daniil from Netherlands – January 13, 2023 (10/10)

Perfect cozy apartment in the centre of Tbilisi.
Ideal place to stay if you want to dive into authentic Georgian culture.
Special thanks to our host for great hospitality!

  • Good – Chris from Belgium – March 11, 2024 (7/10)

The host seems to be a kind lady.
The location of the apartment is awesome.
At the same time it's very quiet.
It's nice to have a bedroom space and living room space seperately.
The two present tables give plenty of space to eat or work on.
There is a nice collection of plants on the little balcony.

What could be improved: All the 10/10 reviews are a bit exaggerated imo. It's a nice place yes, but definitely room for improvement. The lights are very cool and white which doesn't give a cosy atmosphere. The rooms are quite dark because the windows are only from the corridor side. The bathroom is cold in the winter. The extra sofabed is very narrow (though comfortable enough). There were some things that almost broke down like the handle of the tap. And at some point the host opened the door connecting this flat with hers without knocking. Maybe cultural differences but something I'm not used to.
