The Room Experience

The room itself feels like what you’d expect from Marriott — clean lines, comfortable bedding, and everything actually works. What I appreciated was the soundproofing, because Freedom Square can get lively, especially on weekends. The windows offer decent views of either the square or the surrounding cityscape, and you know what, even the “city view” rooms are pretty nice since Tbilisi’s architecture is so interesting. The bathrooms are modern and well-appointed, though not particularly spacious — but honestly, you’re probably not spending much time in your room anyway with all there is to see outside.

Breakfast here is solid — they do both American and buffet style, which gives you options whether you want familiar comfort food or want to try some local Georgian items they mix in. The restaurant area gets good morning light, and the coffee is actually decent (not always a given, even at nice hotels). One thing that’s genuinely helpful is the private parking — if you’re driving in Tbilisi, you’ll appreciate not having to hunt for a spot or worry about your car. The staff speaks excellent English and seems to genuinely know the city well, so don’t hesitate to ask for recommendations.
