You know what struck me first about COMFORT AND HISTORY? It’s one of those places where the name actually tells you everything you need to know – and I mean that in the best possible way. Walking into the lobby, you can immediately sense this isn’t some cookie-cutter chain hotel trying to be all things to everyone. There’s this authentic weight to the place, like the walls have stories tucked into every corner, but somehow they’ve managed to blend that historical character with genuinely comfortable modern touches that actually work.

The rooms honestly surprised me – I was half expecting that thing where “historic” becomes code for “charming but inconvenient,” but that’s not the case here at all. Yes, you’ll find period details and architectural elements that give each space real personality, but the beds are properly comfortable (none of that firm-as-a-rock nonsense some boutique places think is sophisticated), and the bathrooms have been thoughtfully updated without losing their character. I actually found myself just hanging out in my room more than usual because it felt like a genuine retreat rather than just a place to crash. The lighting is particularly well done – you can actually read without squinting, which seems like a small thing until you’re in a hotel where they’ve prioritized mood over function.

What really sets this place apart, though, is how they’ve struck that balance between preserving whatever historical significance drew them to restore this building and creating an environment where you genuinely want to spend time. The common areas invite lingering – there are these perfect little nooks where you can settle in with coffee or a drink and just watch the world go by. The staff clearly knows the property inside and out, and they’re the kind of people who can point you toward exactly what you’re looking for without making you feel like you’re getting a rehearsed tourism pitch. With a 9.6 rating, you’d expect things to be polished, but what impressed me was how effortless it all felt. Sometimes highly-rated places can feel a bit precious or overly managed, but there’s something refreshingly genuine about how they operate here – like they’re confident enough in what they offer that they don’t need to oversell it. It’s the sort of place that makes you want to extend your stay, not because there’s nowhere else to go, but because you’ve found somewhere worth staying put.

  Amazing cozy and minimalistic place at the very heart of old Tbilisi. The apartment has everything for comfortable staying: hair dryer, microwave, kettle, cooker, tableware, washing and drying machines, TV, fridge, huge  terrace.
  As it has 4 panoramic windows, the space is very cozy and full of light.
  The host is very helpful (both in apartment related questions and info about the city).
  The terrace has a view to a cathedral and hill with the fortress.
