City Inn – Boutique Hotel Tbilisi Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to City Inn – Boutique Hotel Tbilisi on Zaldastanishvili Street, you immediately get that “hidden gem” feeling. It’s one of those places that doesn’t scream for attention but quietly delivers something special. The building has this understated elegance that fits perfectly with the neighborhood’s character — you know you’re in Tbilisi, but there’s a contemporary edge that sets it apart from the typical guesthouses scattered around the city.
Perfect Positioning
Honestly, the location is what sold me on this four-star property. You’re literally a stone’s throw from Rustaveli Avenue, which means you can walk to the Opera House, the National Museum, and all those great cafes without breaking a sweat. But here’s the thing — being just off the main drag means you actually get some peace and quiet at night. The Mtatsminda area has this perfect balance where you feel connected to everything but not overwhelmed by tourist crowds. I mean, couples consistently rate the location over 9 out of 10, and after staying here, I totally get why.
The Room Experience
The room design really captures that boutique hotel vibe they’re going for. Everything feels thoughtfully chosen rather than just ordered from a hotel supply catalog. The windows are generous, and if you’re lucky enough to get one facing the right direction, you’ll catch glimpses of the city spreading out toward the hills. What I appreciated most was the attention to practical details — good lighting for reading, plenty of outlets, and a bathroom that actually has space to spread out your stuff. It’s not trying to be flashy, just genuinely comfortable.
Morning Fuel
Breakfast here is actually worth getting up for, which isn’t something I say lightly. They do both continental and buffet options, and the quality is consistently good — fresh bread, local cheeses, and they usually have some Georgian specialties mixed in with the international standards. The restaurant area has this relaxed morning atmosphere where you can ease into your day rather than feeling rushed. Plus, there’s free parking available, which is honestly a huge relief if you’re driving in Tbilisi — trust me, you don’t want to be hunting for street parking in this city.
Why Guests Love It
What really sets this place apart is how it manages to feel both local and international at the same time. You’re staying in a proper Georgian neighborhood, but with all the comfort and service standards you’d expect from a well-run boutique hotel. The staff genuinely seems to care about making your stay work, and they know the area well enough to give you solid recommendations. It’s the kind of place where you feel like you’re experiencing the real Tbilisi, not just passing through it. For the price point and location, it delivers exactly what it promises without any unpleasant surprises.

Ruben from Armenia (9/10)
I was impressed that after my previous comment the hotel improved their breakfast. After my previous stay I suggested having a georgian puri in the morning and this time it was present – good job!
Ruvneet from India (10/10)
The homesy feeling was just wonderful! City Inn is cozy and comfortable located in a quiet cobbled street neighbourhood. We had a wonderful 7 days at City Inn and its central location meant we did most of our exploring on foot. We got great tips from them to save expenses while travelling too, and all the help we could ask for.
Marina from Armenia (10/10)
The location is very good. The GPS shows that you should drive few hundred meters from the central street, but the staff explained and it was really 100 meters from the main street away. It was possible to park the car. The felling that you are in the city center, but the rooms are really calm. We enjoyed. We will come back. The breakfast was amazing.
