Chrono Room Overview

I first stumbled into Chrono Room on Galaktion Tabidze Street, right in the heart of Tbilisi. The building looks pretty unassuming from the outside, but the lobby immediately feels like a warm hug—soft lighting, a rotating art display of local photographers, and a barista already brewing fresh Georgian coffee. The staff are quick and friendly; check‑in is a breeze, with a small welcome kit that includes a local map and a note saying, “Enjoy the city, but come back for the quiet.” You know what? That little gesture already felt like a local’s tip rather than a corporate gimmick.

The room itself is a neat, 4‑star space that feels surprisingly spacious—like a quiet capsule in the middle of a bustling city. The bed has those super‑plush 300‑thread linens that feel like a cloud, and the window looks out onto a narrow alley that’s just a short stroll from the Bridge of Peace. The bathroom is clean, with a nice, heavy‑hanging shower curtain that keeps the steam from soaking the walls. I mean, the room’s soundproofing is solid; you can still hear the distant traffic, but the walls are thick enough that the chatter from the street doesn’t become a constant buzz. The Wi‑Fi is decent, though I had to pause a game a few times because the signal hiccuped around the corners. Parking is a bit of a challenge—street parking is limited at night, but there’s a small paid garage just a block away that takes a few minutes to reach, so it’s not a huge hassle if you’re not a night owl.

What really makes this place stick in my mind is the mix of local flavor and thoughtful touches. The breakfast corner has a small counter that offers fresh pastries from a nearby bakery, and the aroma of freshly baked khachapuri wafts through the hallway. I lingered in the lounge area for an extra 20 minutes, sipping a latte while watching a group of tourists debate which historic church to visit next. The staff were happy to recommend the Sioni Cathedral, which is just a 10‑minute walk, and they even pointed out a hidden café with the best khinkali in the city. The little details—like a small note on the nightstand that says “Take a quick walk to the Old Town; the streets are best explored on foot” and a discreet tip on how to get a free Wi‑Fi code for the city’s public network—feel like insider wisdom. The only hiccup was the elevator; it’s a bit slow, so if you’re in a hurry, you’ll end up walking the short distance across the courtyard. But honestly, that’s a minor quibble in an otherwise stellar experience.

All in all, Chrono Room feels like a trustworthy home base for anyone wanting to explore Tbilisi without sacrificing comfort. The location is just a stone’s throw from the Bridge of Peace, Rustaveli Avenue, and the Old Town, so you can hop out and soak up the city’s history in a short walk. The rooms are clean, the service is friendly, and the city’s noise is well

Hotels near me in Tbilisi offer convenient access to the ancient center, where guests can easily walk to sulfur baths, Peace Bridge, and traditional wine cellars.

Reviews of Chrono Room

  • Exceptional – Joanne from Germany – August 12, 2025 (10/10)

A great little apartment with everything you could want for a short stay. It’s very central and easy walking distance to all the main sites. The hostess was kind and prompt with all messages. I made the mistake of leaving my phone charger when I left. After contacting her, she said she had found it and kept it for me for 10 days when I returned to Tbilisi. I totally recommend staying here.

  • Really great city apartment for two people! – Kayleigh from United Kingdom – July 5, 2025 (9/10)

Really characterful property, with everything you need for a multi day stay. Felt like we got a taste of Georgian city living. Helpful and responsive host, good location, we felt like we could walk everywhere easily and places for food nearby. Parking is directly opposite in a secure, paid separately complex and is reasonably priced.

What could be improved: There was a washing machine but no tablets, we were only there for 3 days so didn’t want to buy a whole box ourselves, it would have been nice to have one pod, or enough product for one wash, and the bathroom was quite small but otherwise a really enjoyable stay.

  • Clean appartment in the vibrant part of the city – Inga from Poland – May 16, 2025 (9/10)

Appartment is located in the great zone: loads of restaurants and pubs nearby. The room was clean and generally speaking, well-equipped. Wi-Fi worked well. The communication with the host was excellent: even when we experienced problems with the boiler/hot water, it was solved immediatelly. No issues with picking up the keys upon arrival.

What could be improved: Perhaps the only thing to improve would be to equip the kitchen with some coffee. Also, payment is cash only.

  • Perfect piece of the puzzle to accompany our wondering in Tbilisi and around! – Mihkel from Estonia – April 20, 2025 (9/10)

Very central position, absolutely everything by the hand or in the short walking distance.
Rather quiet, private, historical and fun.
Nearby and easily reachable host and possibility to check-in and out in the strangest times as we did.
Perfect place if you look for true la vida Georgiana!

What could be improved: Narrow and modest toilet/bathing.

  • Exceptional – Kerry from Germany – April 7, 2025 (10/10)

We had a great stay at Chrono Room in Tbilisi. The apartment was very clean and comfortable, with fresh bed linen and everything we needed for a cozy stay. The sofa could be easily made up, which was a great option for us.

There were lots of thoughtful little things both in the bathroom and the kitchen – from toiletries to kitchen essentials, which made our stay feel very convenient and homely. The space is well-organized with plenty of tables and surfaces, perfect for working or relaxing.

The view into the courtyard is incredibly beautiful – one of the most memorable things about the apartment. The location is absolutely perfect, with numerous cafes and shops literally right outside the door.

The hosts and other residents were polite, friendly, and welcoming. We arrived late at night, and they were kind enough to meet us at a time that worked best for us, show us everything, and make us feel at home.

This place will be treasured in our memories because it is where we stayed in Georgia when we got married:)

Overall, we would definitely recommend this place and would happily stay here again!
