Boutique Hotel Point Overview

I was strolling down улица Ивериа, the cobblestone strip that cuts through the heart of Tbilisi, when the little white sign of Boutique Hotel Point caught my eye. It’s a strip‑mall‑style building, but the front door itself feels like a portal into a quieter corner of the city. The staff at the front desk were incredibly warm – the guy behind the desk was a local, probably born in the neighborhood, and he greeted me with a big, genuine smile. The check‑in process was quick, no long lines, and he even handed me a map of the city with a handwritten note about the best spots to eat around the area. I mean, that’s the kind of personal touch you rarely find in a chain resort.

The room was a cozy blend of modern and Georgian, with a subtle amber glow that made the space feel like a private lounge. The bed was surprisingly comfortable, the linens soft enough that you might not want to get out, which is a welcome relief after a long day of exploring. The bathroom had a shower that delivers a steady, warm flow – a little extra spray that’s perfect after a hot bath in an ancient bathhouse. I noticed the crack in the wooden floorboards; they’re a bit worn, but they add character, you know? Parking is an issue for tourists – there’s a street lot a block away, but it fills up fast, especially during festival season. If you’re driving, you’ll have to be prepared to walk a few minutes or take a short taxi ride. The noise level from the street is low; the only sounds are the occasional traffic hum and the distant bells from the old cathedral. That peace is a real bonus if you’re looking for a break from the city’s bustle.

Honestly, the breakfast spread was a simple but delightful surprise. The café downstairs serves a local pastry called “khachapuri” that’s buttery, cheesy, and just the right amount of doughy – the best part of the morning. For lunch, I took a walk to a nearby café across the street, where they serve a “lobio” soup that’s thick, spicy, and absolutely comforting. If you’re staying late, the hotel’s rooftop terrace is a hidden gem; you can sip a glass of local wine, watch the sunset over the city, and hear the faint click of a distant tram. The peak season is from late spring to early autumn; the street is vibrant, and you’ll see artists and street performers, but the rooms remain quiet and welcoming. I left feeling refreshed, with a few souvenirs in my tote and a new appreciation for the everyday charm that makes Tbilisi so special.
