Boutique Hotel Mimino Overview

First Impressions

Walking into Boutique Hotel Mimino, you immediately sense this isn’t your typical four-star property. The name itself — Mimino — is a nod to a beloved Georgian film, and honestly, that cultural touch sets the tone for everything here. Located on a quiet turn in Tbilisi‘s Old Town area, the hotel manages to feel both intimate and sophisticated without trying too hard. The lobby has this warm, understated elegance that makes you want to linger with a glass of wine.

Location & Neighborhood

You know what’s great about Khivi Turn? It’s tucked away enough that you’re not dealing with tourist crowds right outside your door, but you’re still within easy walking distance of everything that matters. You can stroll to the sulfur baths in about five minutes, and the cable car to Narikala Fortress is practically around the corner. The fact that couples rate this location so highly (9.2 out of 10) makes perfect sense — there’s something romantic about these narrow cobblestone streets, especially in the evening when the old buildings are lit up.

The Room Experience

The rooms here actually live up to the “boutique” promise. Each room feels thoughtfully designed rather than cookie-cutter, with local artwork and textiles that give you a real sense of place. The beds are genuinely comfortable — not just hotel-marketing comfortable — and the bathrooms are modern without feeling sterile. What I particularly appreciated was the attention to lighting; you’ve got options for different moods, which sounds small but makes a real difference when you’re trying to unwind after a day of exploring.

Breakfast & Practical Details

The breakfast setup is solid — they do both continental and buffet options, so whether you’re a grab-and-go type or someone who likes to take their time, you’re covered. The Georgian touches in the spread are what make it special; you’ll find khachapuri alongside your standard offerings, which feels authentic rather than performative. Plus, there’s free parking available, and if you’ve ever tried to park in Old Town Tbilisi, you’ll know that’s not something to take lightly. The hotel staff can also assist with any additional travel arrangements you might need.

Why Guests Love It

With a 9.5 rating, this place is clearly doing something right, and I think it comes down to the balance they’ve struck. It’s polished enough that you feel well taken care of, but it hasn’t lost that personal touch that makes boutique hotels special in the first place. The staff genuinely seems to care about your experience — not in that scripted hospitality way, but like they’re actually invested in making sure you enjoy Tbilisi. For couples especially, there’s something about the combination of the romantic location and the intimate scale of the hotel that just works.

Exploring Tbilisi offers visitors an unforgettable journey through Georgia’s cultural heart, from its ancient sulfur baths to its world-renowned wine traditions and stunning Caucasus mountain backdrop.

Reviews of Boutique Hotel Mimino

  • Jiamu from Georgia (10/10)

Everything is perfect in Boutique Hotel Mimino! All staffs are very friendly and always ready to help, the room is large and clean, the view from the rooftop is spectacular. The location is relatively close to the metro station and bus station (about 5min), two supermarkets within 2 min walk, and multiple great (and cheap) food selections by the station.

I liked my stay at the hotel. The rooms were very clean. The location is perfect. It is just behind the trinity cathedral. The people running the hotel are very nice. they listen to all your requests and try to fulfill them all. I was with my toddler and they helped me with everything.
They arranged for an airport pickup as well which was very price effective when compared to normal taxi rates.
I would definitely stay here again.

  • Shahzad from United Arab Emirates (10/10)

Nice loaction near Trinity Cathedral. Good interiors and design, The receptionist and manager Ina is a very genuine and kind lady. She helped us with a small altercation we had to face with our taxi driver who tried to fleece us by overcharging, She understood the whole situation well and spoke to the other lady in georgian on phone who had helped to arrange a taxi for us from Signagi to Tbilisi. The taxi driver was quite rude with us after the journey but Inna handled the situation very well for us and argued rightly with the taxi driver for trying to rip off tourists like this. They have a good breakfast as well and the rooms have really good city views. Thanks again Ina! 🙂

  • Anci from Serbia (10/10)

The breakfast was varied, every morning there was something new. There is something for everyone, from muesli to eggs, hot dogs, salads, various dishes with potatoes, noodles, and vegetables. There was always a cake or a croissant for dessert and some fruit. Coffee, water, tea and juice. The location is close to the center, a 20-minute walk or a few minutes to the Bolt. The area is quiet and great for rest. The hotel's Iya is a beautiful church with a beautiful park.
The staff is friendly. available non stop. everyone is friendly. Inna is a phenomenal, pleasant and very friendly person. She helped us with everything. Many greetings for her from Serbia. Irina and the rest of the staff were also helpful, all the doubts we had helped us to be resolved in the shortest possible time.Tbilisi is a beautiful city, we enjoyed our vacation and the hotel staff made an effort to make us feel at home.
