Blueberry Nights Overview

You know what struck me first about Blueberry Nights? The name actually makes sense once you’re there – there’s this subtle blueberry scent in the lobby that’s not overwhelming or artificial, just… pleasant. I mean, I was skeptical at first because hotel theming can go so wrong, but they’ve managed to pull it off without being cheesy about it.

The rooms are genuinely impressive for a 4-star place. I’ve stayed in plenty of hotels that claim four stars and deliver three-star comfort, but this one actually lives up to its rating. The beds are properly comfortable – not too soft, not too firm – and honestly, the pillows are some of the best I’ve encountered. They’ve got this thing where they offer different pillow types at check-in, which sounds gimmicky but turns out to be brilliant if you’re picky about sleep comfort like I am. The bathrooms are spacious with decent water pressure (always a gamble, right?), and there’s actually enough counter space for your toiletries without playing Tetris with everything.

What really sets this place apart though is the attention to small details that most hotels completely miss. The curtains actually block out light – I’m talking proper blackout, not that thin fabric nonsense that lets the parking lot lights leak through at 2 AM. The air conditioning is quiet and effective, and get this – the walls are thick enough that you won’t hear your neighbors’ TV or phone calls. I stayed during what seemed like a busy weekend and barely heard a peep from other guests. The staff genuinely seems to care too, not in that over-rehearsed way but more like they actually want you to have a good stay. Check-in was smooth, they remembered my name throughout the stay, and when I mentioned I was traveling for business, they made sure I got a room away from the elevator noise.

The common areas have this relaxed vibe that works whether you’re traveling solo or with family. There’s a lobby area that’s actually comfortable to sit in – good lighting for reading, proper chairs instead of those weird modern things that look better than they feel. I noticed other guests actually hanging out there in the evenings instead of just rushing through, which tells you something about the atmosphere. Parking is straightforward and included, which saves you from those surprise fees that can really add up. The location works well for both business and leisure travelers, though you’ll want to check what’s specifically nearby for your needs since every traveler’s definition of “convenient” is different. With a 9 out of 10 rating, it’s clear other guests are having similar experiences – this isn’t just one of those places that looks good in photos but disappoints in person.

Reviews of Blueberry Nights

I am from Hong Kong, so imagine my surprise when I read that the Georgian architect (who worked as a set designer, filmmaker and photographer) named his boutique hotel / passion project after Wong Kar Wai’s “My Blueberry Nights” (a HK film)! Rooms are Japanese-inspired and the beds were super cloud-like and comfy. My friend and I had a quiet night in, watching anything and everything on the in-room projector and singing along to the vinyl player (both of which were excellent)! We managed to catch a glimpse of another room and the interior design is immaculate. Service from everyone was also top notch. Location is great – just a few minutes’ (and safe) walk to the bustling Rustaveli Metro, although the building itself is in a quiet location. 15/10 would stay here again next time I’m in Tbilisi! Thank you for an amazing stay!
