Bina orbeliantan Overview

I landed in Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia, and the first thing that struck me was how the city feels like a mosaic of history and modernity tucked into a valley surrounded by hills. Strolling down Mtkvari Street 6, you’re greeted by the smell of fresh bread from a nearby bakery, the distant hum of scooters, and the unmistakable scent of blooming lilacs that locals brag about in spring. The hotel, Bina orbeliantan, sits on the edge of Mtatsminda, just a stone’s throw from the iconic Sioni Cathedral. Walking up the cobblestone steps, you can hear the church bells, and at night, the city lights flicker like fireflies against the old stone walls of the building. Check‑in was surprisingly swift; the staff, mostly young locals, greeted us with warm smiles and a quick explanation of the Wi‑Fi password that, frankly, works better than most city cafés. The lobby itself is a blend of rustic wooden beams and contemporary art pieces that echo the city’s dual personality.

The room was a cozy 20‑meter square of comfort. The walls are painted in earthy tones that make you feel at home, and the window frames a view of Mtatsminda Tower, which you can see from almost every room. The bed was a bit firmer than I’m used to, but the real charm is the textured linen sheets that give a subtle, almost tangible, sense of luxury without being pretentious. Morning light pours in, and you can hear the city waking up – a distant choir of church bells, the clatter of a street vendor’s cart, and the soft murmur of neighbor conversations. The bathroom was a small delight: a deep soaking tub that feels like a private spa, a fluffy towel that smells like cedar, and a shower with a very steady, warm flow. I noticed the noise level was surprisingly low; the building is insulated well, and the nearby traffic only starts to stir after 8 a.m. – a perfect sweet spot for early risers who want to catch the sunrise over the city. The breakfast spread was a local favorite: a selection of cheeses, fresh fruits, and a homemade khachapuri that melts in your mouth. I also grabbed a cup of black coffee – strong, with a hint of cardamom, just enough to power me through the day.

What I love most about Bina orbeliantan is its unapologetic authenticity. The staff know the neighborhood like a child knows his own home – they can point you to the best spot for a steaming bowl of khinkali on a rainy afternoon, or tell you where the most authentic, cheap khachapuri can be found on Mtkvari Street. Parking is a bit of a scavenger hunt; you’ll find a small lot behind the building that’s free, but you’ll need to be there early if you’re hoping to snag a spot before the evening rush. And while the hotel is 4‑star, it doesn’t feel like a commercial chain; the touches are personal. I found a handwritten guide on the hallway wall filled with my own notes about the best places to visit, a little reminder that the hotel staff really cares about your experience. If you’re traveling during the peak summer months, the city can get noisy, especially near the main squares, but that’s no problem here – the windows are sealed well, and the soundproofing in the room keeps you in a bubble. For quiet nights, the only sound you’ll hear is the distant murmur of the city and the occasional creak of the old floorboards – a soundtrack that feels like a lullaby for travelers.

Overall, Bina

Tbilisi’s hotels showcase the perfect blend of Georgian tradition and modern comfort, with many featuring wine tour services and authentic Caucasian hospitality.

Location was great, flat was exactly as described and check-in was easy.

  • Exceptional – Ani from Armenia – July 29, 2025 (10/10)

The place is good for friends or family trips as there are 3 rooms. Good place near to centre. The lady was very nice person and also she quickly responded and helped in any question that we had.The only thing that we didn't like is that there were one room that didn't have windows and lighting wasn't very good but same time other rooms had very good lighting. This one was only thing that we didn't like but still you can have comfort in this room.

  • Very comfortable place to stay in Tbilisi – Soat from Uzbekistan – June 27, 2023 (10/10)

  • The price is appropriate to the appartment. – Anonymous from Hungary – August 2, 2023 (7/10)

    The locatiob is incredible!

What could be improved: The beds are unconfortable. Some pieces of furnishing ar missing.

  • Exceptional – Yuliya from Kazakhstan – September 3, 2025 (10/10)

What could be improved: Душ в большой ванной протекает, старая мебель в гостиной, очень крутой подъём на 3 этаж без лифта, с чемоданом тяжеловато. Но это мелочи, которые не испортили общее приятное впечатление 🙂

  • Exceptional – Nadezda from Russia – September 16, 2023 (10/10)

  • Exceptional – Oleksii from Ukraine – July 29, 2023 (10/10)

  • Exceptional – Maksim from Russia – June 13, 2023 (10/10)

What could be improved: Неприятным сюрпризом оказался шатающийся стол в гостиной.
