Apartments Lezzet Overview

I’m still buzzing from my last stay at Apartments Lezzet, tucked along David Agmashenebeli Avenue in the heart of Tbilisi. The building’s façade is a kind of understated Georgian charm—smooth stone, a bit of peeling paint that tells you it’s been there for a while, and a little wrought‑iron balcony that’s become my window to the city. From the second floor, the view is a patchwork of the old town’s cobblestones, the red‑brick churches, and the ever‑changing skyline of the newer buildings. The first thing that hits you is the scent of fresh Georgian coffee wafting from the café on the corner of David Agmashenebeli and Rustaveli; you can hear the barista’s chatter and the clink of cups long before you step out. It’s the sort of sensory detail that makes a place feel lived in, not just a hotel.

Checking in was surprisingly breezy. The front desk is stacked with mix of locals and tourists, and the staff—especially the lady behind the counter—has this warm, almost conspiratorial vibe. She nods to me as if we’re old friends, offers to drop my bags at the reception, and then goes on to give me a quick rundown of the apartment’s quirks. The Wi‑Fi is decent but sometimes hiccups when the metro line’s on a schedule of its own—if you’re a serial blogger, you might want to bring a power bank. The apartment itself is a cozy 2‑bedroom unit, with a kitchenette that’s fully equipped for a home cook, and a balcony that’s a little small but offers a great spot for a morning espresso while listening to the city’s low‑level traffic hum. The room’s décor is a mix of modern minimalism and Georgian touches: a hand‑woven rug, a wooden table that looks like it could be a piece of the old city’s architecture, and those little glass jars of local honey that sit on the counter, a sweet reminder of the region. The only critique? The bathroom’s shower head is a tad old, but the clean tiles and the scent of vanilla soap more than compensate. Overall, it feels like a home away from home, not a hotel.

When it comes to parking, you’ll find that the building doesn’t have a dedicated garage, so you’ll need to rely on street parking—there’s a small, somewhat cramped lot on Lomi Street nearby, but the meters are a bit pricey in the evenings. If you’re driving, you might prefer to leave the car in the metro’s car park on Gareja Street; it’s a bit farther but free for a few hours. Noise is another factor: the apartment is on the third floor, so you’re mostly shielded from the bustling traffic on David Agmashenebeli, but the occasional street musician from a few doors down can be heard, especially on the evenings when the city really comes alive. The neighborhood itself is a gem for a traveler—just a short walk to the Old Town, a coffee shop that serves the best khachapuri, and a small market where the vendors shout about fresh tomatoes and spices. The whole area feels authentically Georgian, with its mix of modern convenience and old‑world charm, and you’ll find yourself wanting to explore beyond the obvious tourist spots. In short, Apartments Lezzet is the kind of spot where you feel like you’ve stumbled upon a local’s favorite hideaway, and that’s exactly the kind of vibe I’ve been looking for in a place to stay.

To book hotel in Tbilisi during the famous Tbilisi Jazz Festival season, visitors should make reservations well in advance as the city attracts wine enthusiasts and cultural travelers from around the world.
