You know what struck me first about Apartment Rustaveli 1? It’s one of those places that feels more like staying at a well-traveled friend’s place than a typical hotel – and honestly, that’s exactly what you want when you’re exploring Tbilisi. The location on Rustaveli Avenue is pretty much perfect if you ask me, though I should mention the street can get lively, especially on weekend evenings when locals are out and about.

The apartment itself has this comfortable, lived-in quality that I really appreciated. I mean, everything’s clean and well-maintained – it’s got that solid 4-star feel – but it doesn’t have that sterile, cookie-cutter hotel vibe that makes you feel like you’re sleeping in a showroom. The kitchen actually works (I tested it with some khachapuri from the market down the street), and there’s enough space to spread out your stuff without living out of a suitcase the whole time. What really impressed me was the attention to small details – good water pressure in the shower, blackout curtains that actually block light, and reliable WiFi that doesn’t cut out every time someone in the next room starts streaming something.

Being right on Rustaveli means you’re basically in the heart of everything without having to figure out the metro system on day one. The Opera House is literally a few minutes’ walk, and you can easily stroll to the old town when you want that postcard-perfect Tbilisi experience. I actually found myself coming back to the apartment during the day sometimes – partly because it’s so comfortable, but also because it’s nice to have a proper base when you’re doing the whole cultural immersion thing. The area gets pretty quiet after midnight, which surprised me given how central it is, so you can actually get decent sleep. Just be aware that if you’re visiting during summer, Rustaveli can get crowded with both tourists and locals, but that’s part of the charm really – you feel like you’re staying somewhere that matters to the city, not just passing through some tourist bubble.

  The location is just off Liberty Square and excellent for exploring the old town. It is large and has a great terrace with views. The kitchen is also large with all the amenities required. The host was very pleasant and punctual, and she spoke excellent English.

  I liked the place. It is quite big and we were only 3 people. The location is absolutely perfect. Nice views from the balcony and terrace. We did not have much time to use, but for those with big companies, this can be a perfect place for get together. The host was very helpful.
