Apartment On Tabidze 3/5 Overview
I booked a stay at Apartment On Tabidze 3/5, and honestly, it was one of the best experiences I’ve had in Tbilisi. The place feels like a slice of local life rather than a tourist trap, and that’s something you just notice when you’re not looking for the “world‑class” vibe. The apartment is tucked into a quiet corner of Tabidze Street, so you’re not jostled by the constant flow of buses, but you’re still a stone’s throw from Rustaveli Avenue where the street performers light up the evenings. I mean, you can walk out the door and heading into the Old Town is like stepping back in time, but you’ll still have the convenience of a metro stop just a few blocks away.
The check‑in was surprisingly smooth. The host, a friendly Georgian woman named Nino, greeted me in a cozy lobbied room that smelled faintly of fresh coffee and dried herbs—a subtle hint that she probably grew a few of those herbs herself. She took my keycard and walked me through the apartment, pointing out the pantry stocked with local cheeses and a small selection of Georgian wines. You’ll notice the apartment has that charming, slightly worn charm; the walls have a faint, faded print of a 1950s poster, and the windows open up to a narrow street where you can hear the clatter of a bicycle and the distant call of a vendor selling khinkali. It’s not fancy, but it’s functional: the kitchen has a gas stove, a small fridge, and a kettle that boils water in less than a minute. The living area is spacious enough to spread out a few sheets of travel journals, and the couch is covered in a soft, worn‑out fabric that feels surprisingly comfortable after a long day of exploring.
Parking is a bit of a hassle, but that’s the reality of living in a city where cars are an exception rather than the rule. There is a municipal lot on the opposite side of the street, but it fills up by noon during peak season. I ended up using a nearby bike rack to drop my luggage, and then walked to the metro station. Noise levels are pretty decent; the apartment is insulated enough that you can hear the occasional siren or traffic, but it doesn’t drown out the city’s heartbeat. On the bright side, the air conditioning is a lifesaver during the summer heat—no need to rely on the city’s public fans, which can be a bit unpredictable. If you’re traveling with a group, the apartment has a surprisingly generous sleeping capacity with a second sofa that folds into a bed, though the mattress is a bit firm—so bring a travel pillow if you’re a light sleeper.
What really sticks with me are the little details that locals appreciate. I discovered a hidden gem, a tiny café called “Sakartvelo Coffee” on the corner of Tabidze and Kvabiskidze, where the barista knows your name after a couple of visits. The aroma of freshly ground coffee beans, the sound of espresso machines hissing, and the subtle taste of sweetened tea with a hint of vanilla make the place feel like home. I also short walk to the nearby Tbilisi Botanical Garden, which is a quiet oasis for anyone who wants to escape the city’s buzz for a few hours. The apartment’s proximity to both the vibrant nightlife of Fabrika and the serene beauty of Mtatsminda Park makes it a perfect base for travelers who want a bit of everything.
All in all, Apartment On Tabidze 3/5 is a solid, no‑frills stay that gives you a genuine taste of daily life in Tbilisi. It feels like you’re staying with a local friend, which is priceless when you’re on the move. The pros outweigh the few cons, and for anyone who wants to experience the city beyond the typical tourist spots, this place will give you a comfortable and authentic base. I’ll definitely come back next time I’m in the area—maybe to explore the Sunday market on Gldani Street or to catch a sunset from the terrace of the nearby Hotel Ritsa. The only thing I’d suggest is booking a little earlier
Hotels in Tbilisi offer visitors the opportunity to stay in the heart of this Caucasian gem, with easy access to museums, thermal baths, and traditional restaurants.

Exceptional – Joanna from Kuwait – January 13, 2025 (10/10)
Even if it’s an old apartment, the house is so clean and well maintained. The host (Goga) is also nice and very much accommodating.
What could be improved: No Bidet.Exceptional – Jhanine from United Arab Emirates – April 10, 2024 (10/10)
We had a wonderful 4 days in this apartment. The apartment is huge and it's really comfortable for us since we are a group of 6. Location is very good, it's very near the freedom square so transportation is very accessible and many attractions are just around the area. Gogi, the host, is very helpful and accommodating. We really enjoyed our stay.
Fantastic host, great experience, perfect place to stay in Old Tbilisi. – Chris from United States – January 31, 2024 (10/10)
The location in Old Tbilisi was perfect… very close to places to eat and to attractions. National Gallery was just down the street, shops were less than two minutes away walking. Public transportation access was very close. The property owner was extremely friendly, helpful, and courteous. Checking in and checking out was a breeze, and the hospitality was excellent. Would stay again in a heartbeat.
What could be improved: I would have stayed longer.Exceptional – Надежда from Russia – May 4, 2025 (10/10)
Exceptional – Eldar from Russia – October 8, 2024 (10/10)
Exceptional – Olga from Russia – June 9, 2024 (10/10)
– Liliya from Russia – May 10, 2024 (10/10)
What could be improved:
Wonderful – Anna from Armenia – August 16, 2024 (9/10)
