Apartment On Gudiashvili Overview
I just spent a week in Tbilisi staying at Apartment On Gudiashvili, and I have to say, it was one of those spots that feels like a secret you’re lucky enough to find. The building itself is tucked into Beglar Akhospireli III Dead End, which is basically a quiet cul‑de‑sac just off Rustaveli Avenue. As soon as I walked in, the staff greeted me with that warm Georgian “bha!”—you know, the kind of hug you get when you’re finally home. Check‑in was quick, no long line, just a friendly pair of people who handed me a keycard and a local map that had handwritten notes about the best spots for cheap wine and the best time to hit the cafes. I even got a little tip about a tiny bakery on Baku Street that serves the fluffiest khachapuri I’ve ever tasted.
That’s the vibe of the place: a 4‑star, but not flashy. The apartment itself is on the second floor, and the windows look straight out onto the narrow streets where you can hear the distant hum of traffic and the occasional church bell from the Sioni Cathedral. Inside, the décor is a blend of modern and traditional—think minimalist furniture with a splash of Georgian tile art and a small rug that looks like it was hand‑woven. The living area is spacious enough to unwind after a day of exploring, and the balcony is a real treat; you can see the old city’s rooftops and the river winding past. The kitchen is fully equipped, which is a lifesaver if you want to whip up a quick Georgian dinner—there’s a small fridge, a stove, and a kettle for tea, plus a stack of local spices I brought back. The bathroom is clean, with a rain‑shower that feels surprisingly spa‑like and a set of fluffy towels that actually feel luxurious. Honestly, the only gripe is that the Wi‑Fi is a bit spotty in the mornings, but that’s a minor detail when you can’t wait to explore the city.
Now, let’s talk practicality. Parking is a hassle in Tbilisi, but this spot has a small paid parking lot right outside the building, and it’s usually free on weekends, which is a lifesaver. Noise is manageable; it’s not a quiet suburb, so you’ll hear the city buzz, but the building’s brick walls keep the street chatter from turning into a full‑blown concert. The locals love this area because it’s close to the Old Town but still has a lot of street vendors and little cafes that you can wander into without feeling like you’re in a tourist trap. I lingered at a corner café that serves a coffee so strong it practically wakes you up—perfect for the mornings when you want to get to the Tbilisi Opera and Ballet Theatre or the nearby National Gallery. The building’s staff are genuinely helpful; one of them even taught me how to use the local metro system and pointed out the best stops for cheap meals. In the end, Apartment On Gudiashvili felt like a home base that let me dive into the city’s rhythm without the usual hotel fuss. If you’re planning a trip to Tbilisi, especially during the spring when the city blooms, this place is a solid, honest choice that won’t leave you feeling like you’re in a marketing brochure.
To book hotel in Tbilisi during the famous Tbilisi Jazz Festival season, visitors should make reservations well in advance as the city attracts wine enthusiasts and cultural travelers from around the world.

Location right in the middle of the old town which is very beautiful. The apartment is very quiet as it is situated away from traffic, and the apartment stays nice and cool in the hot weather. It was very clean and well equipped. The owner was very responsive to any questions we had 🙂 great value for money

Spacious comfortable apartment in a great location with a well equipped kitchen
What could be improved: Be aware there are two appartements, a small and a big one, both are fine but it’s not clear which one you are booking from the pictures. The oven wasn’t working and they weren’t able to fix it in the 5 days we were staying thereExceptional – Mark from United Arab Emirates – September 23, 2024 (10/10)
The place is cosy, nice, and quiet. Feels like home and just enough for a small family of four. The neighborhood has a country side feel, not too hilly, and feels safe. It is walking-distance close to most of the tourist spots in Tbilisi. It has its own entrance. The place is at the end of an alley and about a minute walk to the Gudiashvili Square, where there are bars and restaurants and some gigs at the square on weekend nights. Nearest Spar, a 24-hour convenience store, is about a 3-minute walk. A 5-minute walk to Tbilisi Pushkin Square. It has an internet tv.
What could be improved: It has no dining table, just a dining counter table. It has no toaster, but has a microwave. It has no dryer, just the washing machine.Good! – Rick from Australia – April 18, 2024 (8/10)
Location is great, lots of bars and restaurants. The host was helpful. The kitchen has an oven which mean I can warm up my croissant in the morning, amazing!
What could be improved: The bedroom and kitchen have no windows so it was a bit dark and cold. Wifi does not work in the bedroom and the reception was bad so I had no internet at all in the bedroom. The road leading to the apartment is not well maintained it was difficult for luggage.Exceptional – Mlambo from Poland – January 21, 2024 (10/10)
