Apartment Near Church Overview
I first spotted Tbilisi on a rainy Thursday afternoon, the kind of drizzle that turns the streets into a silver ribbon. The apartment, tucked on Kosta Khetagurovi Street in the Chugureti district, is a stone’s throw from a modest Orthodox church that locals call “the little bell tower” because its bell rings in a surprisingly warm, almost human tone. When I walked in, the staff at the front desk—two young women with quick smiles—promptly asked for my ID, handed me the key, and mentioned that the building’s parking is limited to residents, so you’ll need to park in the small street lot just a block north or use one of the nearby paid lots. I was pleasantly surprised that the check‑in process was a breeze; no long lines, no confusing paperwork, just a quick chat about the Wi‑Fi password (which, by the way, is decent but can hiccup during peak hours when the internet café on 5th Avenue is in full swing).
The apartment itself feels like a cozy, well‑timed secret. The living area is bright, with large windows overlooking a narrow alley where vendors sell fresh apricots and the scent of roasted chestnuts wafts in during the fall. The bed is a queen with crisp linens that smell faintly of lavender—an odd but soothing scent that comes from a small diffuser in the corner. I spent my first night sipping a cup of strong Georgian black coffee from the built‑in espresso machine, and the hiss of the machine was oddly comforting. The bathroom has a deep, warm shower that’s a perfect way to wash off the dust of the city, and the tiles are a deep blue that contrasts nicely with the light wood floors. I did notice that the elevator is a tad slow, but you can always call the building’s maintenance for a quick lift if you’re in a hurry.
During the week, the noise level is manageable. Kosta Khetagurovi can get a bit loud on weekends with motorbikes and the occasional street musician, but the apartment’s thick walls seriously dampen the traffic. In the evenings, the nearby street cafés fill with locals and tourists alike, so there’s always a faint hum of conversation. If you’re planning to stay during the winter, the building’s heating keeps the apartment toasty, and the proximity to the old town means you’re never too far from a warm mug of tea at a corner shop. The only real downside is that the Wi‑Fi speeds can drop during the summer when the whole city’s data plan is maxed out, but it’s still good enough for checking maps or sending a quick photo. All in all, I’d say this place is a sweet, authentic slice of Tbilisi life—no fr like a local.
Best hotels in Tbilisi range from charming boutique properties in the historic Old Town to elegant hillside hotels with stunning views of the Mtkvari River and Narikala Fortress.

What could be improved: Nothing!!Comfortable apartment with amazing service — everything was great. – Danyil from United Kingdom – July 30, 2025 (10/10)
Great apartment with all necessary amenities, modern renovation, and a balcony. The host was extremely helpful — when there was no water in the city on our arrival day, she promptly brought us water for hygiene needs. Excellent service and attitude.
What could be improved: The building itself looks a bit unattractive from the outside, especially for those used to Western or Central European standards, but it doesn’t affect the quality of the stay at all.Exceptional – Andrea from Serbia – May 25, 2025 (10/10)
Everything was very professional and taken care of. The owner helped us when we had a slight issue. The apartment was spotless and smelled very nice. The internet is fast. There are meteo cards and various booklets about what to visit during your stay. Probably the best apartment in the city.
Exceptional – Niran from Turkey – February 13, 2025 (10/10)
The host was extremely helpful and the comfort of the house was great. The house had everything you could need. It was always warm and spotlessly clean. The location is close to everything and central.
Had a blessed day as a group of 3 – Katerinko from Cyprus – January 11, 2025 (9/10)
It’s nice and cosy inside, it was autumn so we could see the golden trees out of one window.
What could be improved: The entrance of the building itself is worn out, but it is what it is.I will be back! – Daniel from Poland – October 9, 2023 (10/10)

The renovated apartment was perfectly fine. The block and the staircase are a bad memory of the Soviet construction industry. Horrible, but interesting.
