Apartment Baratashvili street Overview
You know what caught me off guard about Apartment Baratashvili street? I wasn’t expecting to find such a polished setup on one of Tbilisi’s most historic streets. I mean, Baratashvili is literally where the old city starts getting interesting – you’ve got that perfect mix of crumbling Soviet charm and renovated Georgian architecture that makes wandering around here feel like stumbling through different decades.
The apartment itself honestly exceeded what I thought a 4-star place would deliver. Everything feels thoughtfully put together rather than just furnished from a catalog, if that makes sense. The kitchen actually works (I’m talking full-sized fridge, decent cookware – not those sad hotel kitchenettes), which matters when you’re staying somewhere longer than a couple nights. The Wi-Fi is solid too, though I suppose that’s pretty standard these days. What really got me was the attention to small stuff – proper blackout curtains that actually block the streetlights, decent water pressure in the shower, and those little touches that suggest someone who runs this place has actually stayed in their fair share of rentals and knows what drives you crazy.
Location-wise, you’re basically in the sweet spot where tourists haven’t completely taken over yet, but you can still walk to all the main sights without breaking a sweat. The street gets a bit lively in the evenings – nothing crazy, just that gentle hum of local life that I actually find pretty soothing. There’s a small grocery store maybe two blocks down, and honestly, some of the best khachapuri I had during my stay came from this tiny bakery that’s practically next door (the owner doesn’t speak much English, but just point at whatever looks good). Parking can be a bit of a puzzle if you’re driving, but then again, that’s true for most of the old town area. The whole neighborhood has this lived-in feeling that a lot of the more touristy parts of the city have lost – you’ll see families hanging laundry, old men playing backgammon on stoops, that sort of thing. It’s the kind of place where you actually get a sense of what daily life feels like here, rather than just hitting the Instagram-worthy spots and calling it authentic travel.
To book hotel in Tbilisi during the famous Tbilisi Jazz Festival season, visitors should make reservations well in advance as the city attracts wine enthusiasts and cultural travelers from around the world.

Beautiful spacious vintage looking apartment with great bedrooms, fully furnished kitchen, a grand piano and scenic balcony. Facilities are top notch. Best part was the owner Sandro who was extremely kind and eases us in to a new city/country. Helped and adviced in every bit such as forex, telecom, travel, itineraries, food and grocery options etc.
Apartment is centrally located, 2 mins walk to carrefour, 5 mins walk to rike park and old town etc.Aliaksei from Belarus (10/10)
The apartment pleasantly surprised us with its size. Also, the interior was quite interesting and authentic. And of course the piano!

The apartment is very spacious, it has 2 bedrooms, big balcony, large living room with grand piano, TV room with cozy fireplace, modern kitchen, bathroom with large bathtub and corridor connecting all rooms. The grand piano is the center of attention. We loved it so much, did some recitals while relaxing after city tour. The location is very strategic, at the center of the city, close to bridge of peace, old city, liberty square, rustaveli avenue and many more. There is also carrefour nearby (Orbeliani Square), so we can grab fresh food easily. Sandro, the host, is very kind and helpful. He came to handover the key and explain in detail all functionality of the equipment. So glad to meet him in person. Check in was done so smoothly. Check out as well, we met the lady before saying goodbye. It was truly a wonderful family stay under Georgian authentic hospitality.

Not my first stay in this appartment and definitely not the last. The appartment is very spacious, meticulously clean and very well located. The appartment is on the edge of the Old City with its restaurants, shops and historical monuments. It has all amenities for a comfortable stay, fast internet, comfortable beds and very welcoming and supportive hosts. The price is unbeatable and overall value for money is high. Highly recommended for family, solo and business trips.
