ApartHotel Heart of Tbilisi Overview

I first stumbled into the ApartHotel Heart of Tbilisi after a long day of walking through the Metekhi area, which is actually one of those places that feels like a living postcard. The building itself is a sleek, 4‑star complex, and as soon as I walked in, the scent of fresh coffee from the little café in the lobby hit me—honestly, it was like a warm hug. The lobby is spacious, but you can already sense that the staff keeps things tight: the check‑in was quick, a friendly woman in a crisp uniform handed me my key card with a smile that said, “Get ready to feel at home.” I did notice that the elevator ride takes a bit longer than I’d like because of a backlog of guests, but that’s to be expected in a city that’s practically a hub of activity.

The room itself feels like a slice of Tbilisi’s modern side. The floor‑to‑ceiling windows framed the city’s skyline, and the bed was surprisingly plush—perfect after a day exploring the nearby Rustaveli Avenue. I mentioned to the front desk that I’d be staying late, and they told me the quiet hours start around 10 pm, so you can actually sleep through the city’s night traffic. Parking is a bit of a gamble: there’s a small underground lot, but you have to be early or you’ll end up on the street where the traffic can be a bit noisy. If you’re driving, I recommend the parking at the nearby Tbilisi Metro station; it’s a bit further but it’s secure and the price is reasonable.

Walking out of the hotel, I found myself on Viktor Jorbenadze Street, which is a stone’s throw from the iconic Metekhi Church. The street is a mix of old stone buildings and modern cafés, and the vibe is friendly—locals often stop by the little pastry shop on the corner to chat. I took a detour to Tbilisi Park, and the breeze off the river was a perfect counterpoint to the city’s hum. If you’re looking for a bite, the restaurant on the second floor serves a surprisingly good khachapuri that’s both creamy and crispy. The only downside? The room’s soundproofing isn’t the best, so if you’re a light sleeper, you might want to bring earplugs. All in all, the hotel offers a solid base for exploring the city, and I’d definitely recommend it for anyone who wants to stay in the heart of Tbilisi without sacrificing comfort or convenience.

To book hotel in Tbilisi during the famous Tbilisi Jazz Festival season, visitors should make reservations well in advance as the city attracts wine enthusiasts and cultural travelers from around the world.

What could be improved: The ac unit was not very cold but it’s okay

  • One of the best apartments we've stayed in for the price – Mariia from Israel – September 29, 2024 (10/10)

The apartment is very close to the old city center, in particular to the bath. The area is very quiet. The apartment is a part of a complex of a few apartments and it has everything you would need: a fridge, a stove, a microwave, a washing machine, and also cutlery and miscellaneous like a wine opener. The flat was super clean when we checked in, even the towels were sealed in a bag. You have two locks: on the front door and a code lock on the gate, so it's very secure. The owners are a family who are very welcoming and explained us all the details after we booked, were open to every question and suggestion during our stay, and also provided wonderful recommendations where to eat and what to do in the city. We were even able to check in earlier and pay in USD at a very good exchange rate.

What could be improved: The apartment had a window facing the street, so privacy was a bit of an issue sometimes. But you can change also on the second floor, in the bathroom, or close the heavy curtains. Note that other apartments in the complex don't have this issue.

  • Exceptional – Anzelika from Estonia – May 12, 2024 (10/10)

What could be improved: Water disruption

  • Perfect Location..!! Great wi-fi and very sweet hosts – Gaurav from India – July 19, 2025 (10/10)

Perfect location..!!! Just 5 minute walk from the central Old Tbilisi city with major attractions around. A short walk to Maiden Bazaar which hosts much of the food junctions, markets, banks & ATM and eateries including the chimney cakes.

The wi-fi at this property was perfect. No disconnections at all.

The owners of the place are awesome. We initially booked the place for 2 nights but later extended it to 7 nights. The prices are very decent considering this property is around Old Tbilisi. The prices were the best that we got during our stay in Georgia. The owners are supportive, quick to any requirements. They also gave us a red wine bottle as a sweet gesture.

I will definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to explore Old Tbilisi as this place is perfect to have day trips from here.

What could be improved: There was nothing to dislike. But only one suggestion, the room that we stayed in had 2 single beds joined together. It will be great if that is a double bed with single mattress.

  • Amazing! – Carlijn from Netherlands – July 4, 2024 (10/10)

The room is not very big but has everything you need. Location is really good. We arrived with our car which we could park in front of the apartment. We were welcomed very warmly: the owners are really nice. Communication with them was fast and great. We would definitely recommend this place!

What could be improved: Everything was great

  • Wonderful – Mieciu from Poland – May 29, 2023 (9/10)

Great location, welcoming hosts, clean and well-equipped apartment, free wine 🙂

  • Good – Mikhail from Cyprus – August 15, 2025 (7/10)

Host was very attentive, helped make changes to our booking and secured parking spot. The room is spacious enough; all the facilities are working. Parking is right outside the gates, but availability is not guaranteed. Neighbourhood is very good, with 5 min walk to metro and buses.

What could be improved: There was an unpleasant smell, canalisation or gas, the source of which we couldn't find and couldn't get rid of it. Inner yard is very small, and if someone checks in or spends time late in the evening, you will hear every word. Cleaning was meh, the socks became dirty in 10 minutes of walking in the room. TV is not smart. No insect screens. A small group of ants find their way in the kitchen.
