Ana’s Apartment in Old Tbilisi Overview
I stayed at Ana’s Apartment in Old Tbilisi, which is basically the kind of place that makes you want to stay just long enough to soak in all the tiny, authentic details. The building is a charming, weather‑worn red‑brick affair on Lado Asatiani Street 13, and you can almost feel the centuries of history in the air. When I stepped out of the front door, the first thing that struck me was the smell of frying khachapuri from a café right across the street – the kind of scent that instantly tells you you’re in the right neighborhood. The city is Tbilisi, and it’s not a big place at all – you can walk from one historic square to another in under fifteen minutes, but every corner has a story to tell.
The check‑in was surprisingly breezy. Ana herself was on a tablet, greeting us with a wide smile and offering a few tips about the best spots to grab a cup of locally roasted coffee. She mentioned that the building’s old elevator can be a bit slow, so if you’re in a hurry, you might want to take the stairs – it’s a nice, quick workout, and the view from the second floor is unbeatable. The apartment itself is a compact, well‑planned space that feels more like a home than a hotel. The walls are painted in soft, muted tones that let natural light flood in, and there’s a small kitchen area that actually works – the stove is a bit old, but it heats up fast, and you can easily whip up a simple breakfast. I appreciated the tiny touches, like the hand‑woven rug on the living area and the set of fresh flowers that Ana swapped out each week. The noise level is pretty good; the building’s thick walls keep the street bustle to a whisper, except for that constant, comforting hum of city life that you hear in the mornings and evenings. The only real critique I have is that the bathroom tiles are a little worn, but honestly, it doesn’t affect the cleanliness or the overall vibe.
If you’re wondering about parking, the street in front of the building is a narrow lane that can be a bit tricky for large cars, but there’s a small municipal parking lot just a block away, and the city’s public parking meters are fairly reasonable. For those of you who prefer to stay quiet, the apartment is a bit quiet during late night hours, but you’ll hear the occasional church bells from the Sioni Cathedral or a group of musicians practicing near the square. It’s a great spot for travelers who want to be close to the action but still have a calm retreat. I’d definitely recommend staying here if you’re looking for a place that feels like a local’s home, with easy access to the best street food stalls, a bit of cultural history, and a touch of that Georgian hospitality that makes you feel like you’ve known the place forever. The 4‑star rating and 9.2 score are well deserved – it’s a solid, comfortable, and genuinely welcoming spot in the heart of the city.

Reviews of Ana’s Apartment in Old Tbilisi
Exceptional – Niamh from Ireland – July 17, 2025 (10/10)
We loved this apartment, it is clean, comfortable, spacious and has modern facilities. The owner was very responsive and helpful. The apartment is in a typical Georgian courtyard so it's very nice to be among locals, and the location is great in the middle of the old town.

Comfortable sleepGreat apartment suitable for a long stay! – Amy from United Kingdom – August 3, 2023 (9/10)
Big apartment in the old town of Tbilisi. Everything was new and clean. Bed was comfortable with nice lighting and shelves by the bed. The big windows made it so bright and welcoming. There was even a microwave which isn't shown in the photos.
What could be improved: Bathroom is very small and the shower didn't work properly, which was disappointing – the overhead shower just spills out of the side and the small one didn't fix in position so had to be held by hand. Only a minor issue though!Good for a stay in the center of Tbilisi – Yuliia from Ukraine – July 20, 2025 (8/10)
Was good location in the city center, apartment had almost all needed facilities for a week stay. Very friendly and helpful host.
What could be improved: A bit noisy neighborhood and poor silence isolation as the building is old. AC is in the living room, so it was a bit difficult to make it chill in the bedroom.Exceptional – Dmitriy from Uzbekistan – September 5, 2022 (10/10)
Good experience to live in historical district of Tbilisi. Old atmospheric house outside and clean bright apartment inside. Perfect location if you want to feel spirit of old city. Plenty bars and clubs working till morning, authentic cafes and buildings. Highly recommended.
Good location – Sergey from Georgia – April 29, 2023 (8/10)
Good location, and a friendly and helpful host. A spacious living room and a separate bedroom.
What could be improved: Partially dark wooden stairs up to the 2nd floor (+2) – not very convenient. A dog in the yard – I loved it, but not everyone will be excited about it. Dogs bark and howl from time to time. Very small bathroom.Good – Liudmyla from United Kingdom – September 11, 2024 (7/10)
Location – old Tbilisi. The host was in touch and gave great recommendations on where to eat.
What could be improved: – Old steep staircase in the entrance made difficult to carry the suitcase to the 3rd floor.
– It wouldn't hurt to wash/replace the pillows.Good – Matthew from United States – April 13, 2024 (7/10)
Great location with a lot of space.
What could be improved: Front gate was a struggle to open.Exceptional – Yulia from Russia – August 26, 2025 (10/10)
What could be improved: Все хорошо, только не помешал бы запас туалетной бумаги и мусорных пакетовMooi, ruim, licht appartement in hartje oude stad – Marthe from Netherlands – November 1, 2024 (9/10)
