Ameri Plaza Tbilisi Overview
First Impressions
Walking into Ameri Plaza Tbilisi, you immediately get that feeling of stepping into something refined without being stuffy. The four-star property sits on Kostava Street in Saburtalo, and honestly, the location alone makes this place worth considering — recent guests have been raving about it, giving it an 8.9 rating. There’s this modern Georgian elegance throughout the lobby that feels both sophisticated and welcoming, which I appreciate because some upscale hotels can feel a bit cold.
Location & Neighborhood
Here’s what I love about the Saburtalo district — you’re positioned perfectly between the old city charm and modern Tbilisi conveniences. Kostava Street is one of those arterial roads that actually works in your favor, connecting you easily to different parts of the city without the chaos of being right in the tourist center. Couples seem to particularly get this location (they’ve rated it 9.1), and I can see why — there’s something romantic about having easy access to both intimate local spots and the main attractions. You know what’s also great? The hotel has private parking, which anyone who’s tried to navigate Tbilisi’s parking situation will tell you is a genuine blessing.
The Rooms
The accommodations strike that sweet spot between contemporary comfort and local character. I mean, you’re not getting cookie-cutter international hotel vibes here — there’s actually some personality in the design choices. The rooms feel spacious enough to spread out after a day of exploring, and the attention to detail in the furnishings shows they’ve put thought into creating a proper retreat. The bathrooms are well-appointed, and honestly, after walking around Tbilisi all day, having a really good shower makes all the difference.
Breakfast Experience
Now this is where Ameri Plaza Tbilisi really shows its thoughtfulness — the breakfast setup covers practically every dietary preference you can think of. Continental, vegetarian, vegan, halal options, all laid out buffet-style so you can actually see what you’re getting. I’ve stayed at places that claim to accommodate different diets but then offer one sad alternative — not here. The variety means you can try some Georgian specialties alongside familiar options, which is perfect when you want to ease into the local food scene or if you’re traveling with people who have different comfort levels with new cuisines.
Why Guests Love It
What keeps coming back to me about this place is how it manages to feel both polished and genuine. The 8.2 overall rating reflects what I experienced — solid execution across the board without any major disappointments. The staff seems to understand that travelers want efficiency mixed with warmth, and they deliver on both fronts. It’s the kind of hotel where you can bring business colleagues or your parents and feel confident about the choice. Plus, that location rating speaks for itself — when you’re exploring a city like Tbilisi, being well-positioned can make or break your experience, and this place definitely enhances it.

What could be improved: The last floor without elvatorOverall, the stay was nice, but there were easy actions that the hotel could take to make it better. – Fethi from France – January 5, 2025 (8/10)
– Rooms are clean and with comfortable beds.
– Very nice view from floor 14 and above.
– Easy access to public transportations and city attractions.
–
What could be improved: – Hotel access is inconvenient for cars, as the entrance is at the back and the main gate is always closed. The front street is one-way, and cars can't stop in front due to the high-speed lane.
– One room had no chair, and despite asking several times, it wasn’t provided.
– One day, there were no towels, and another day, no water bottles. Both required multiple requests to resolve.
– We couldn’t get a second key for our two rooms, even though we were six people. The staff said they ran out of cards due to high occupancy 🙁
– During check-in, the receptionist insisted on knowing who would stay in each room, even though we were a family and hadn’t decided yet.
– Staff communication could improve by simple gestures like smiling and being polite would go a long way. This applies especially to people in the breakfast! Asking directly for a room number without any smile or good morning was shocking for me!Wonderful – Davit from Armenia – November 30, 2024 (9/10)
I like this hotel. It's very comfortable and closed to GTU.
